Dr Corbman is a great dentist and a kind person. My daughter has been going to him for about 12 years, she is now 15 years old.
Dr Corbman has a humor that makes visits to the dentist more fun.

I will not go back here! I took my daughter to this practive when she was 1 1/2 because she fell and had a small chip in her tooth. I was satisfied with how Dr. Corbman handled the whole situation, however I was disturbed that I had to watch him put on his gloves, then put on his glasses and tuck his hair behind his ears, then go directly into my daughter's mouth. What is the whole purpose for wearing gloves? Once the gloves go on, there should be no other contact with anything except sterile tools and the patient. If he is not concerned with cleanliness and touching his hair and eyeglasses and ears with gloves that should be sterile, then what else is it not concerned with? Not to mention, when I took my daughter back for her check up at age three, I was shocked when they told me I should not come into the room with her. I understand them thinking that it will help a child trust the dentist if mommy is not around, but this dentist is a male stranger! I was not expecting to be kept out and will not go back there. Until my daughter is old enough to tell me if something fishy is going on, she will never be left alone with a man again! I don't know if there was a female hygenist present, and I am not making any accusations, but for his own protection, the doctor should allow parents in the room if they want to be there or should make certain that a hygenist is there the whole time. All I know is I feel uncomfortable with this practice's way of doing things and have to go with my gut feeling that we would be better off somewhere else. Again, I did not make any accusations, but when I was about to come back to the room with my daughter, the recerptionist or hygenist, blocked my entrance and said that since my daughter was three, she doesnt need me. I was so taken back by the situation and I am not one for confrontation, so i took my seat in the waiting room and listened to Dr Corbman explain about a child being afraid and needing to gain the dr's trust. My daughter is very understanding of situations because I inform her about everything that will go on in different places, let me be the mother and comfort her. She can gain your trust when she gets older and when you put your glasses on before your gloves!

Dr. Corbman is an excellent dentist...my children love him. My dentist personally recommended Dr. Corbman when I told him years ago I wanted my children to start having regular appointments early on. It was the best thing I did, taking them to him. Every child walks out of his office with the biggest smile on their face! He has such a great way of easing the stress not only for the child but for parents too. My daughter recently lost a tooth and begged to go see him just because she was so excited and wanted him to see that it fell out. My children adore him. Granted he doesnt have the parents come in the back but there is staff all over the place. I am usually overprotective with my children but I feel very comfortable with his set-up. Also, in regards to him discussing your child's teeth in the office...big deal! Did you ever think that it helps to ease the minds of the other children there...to hear that other kids get stuff done to their teeth? It is not like your gynocologist coming out and discussing your issues. If it is that much of a problem for you, just ask him to talk to you in private. He is a very personable guy and probably wouldn't mind! Anyone who doesn't send their child there, is cheating their child out of growing up with great dental experiences. By the way, we moved two years ago and I drive my children an hour to see him. If you want the best for your kids...send them to Dr. Corbman.

Dr. Corbman was awful to my 3 yr old son who had just suffered a serious trauma to his front teeth. He called my son a baby and actually yelled at him when my son was crying. I will NEVER set foot in his office again. Also parents are NOT permitted in the back. WHY would that be???

He is awesome. My son has autism and Dr. Corbman has such a terrific way with him that he is very calm and cooperative. Never had a behavior issue in that office, which for my son is incredible. And yes, he does speak to you in front of the whole waiting room, but that is not something I have a problem with personally. Being that he makes such a potentially scary and traumatic experience enjoyable for my son, that a minor issue for me. A non-issue in fact. I highly recommend him, especially for children with special needs.

Dr. Corbman has such excellent rapport with my children (and all the children in the waiting room) that it is an absolute pleasure to drive the 1 hour and 15 mins to his office every 6 months for my 3 boys to have their appointments. I was also thrilled to find a pediatric dentist that doesn't do 'routine x-rays' every 6 months and expose my children to unnecessary radiation. Regarding the privacy issue: Who cares if another Mom in the waiting room knows my child has a cavity? The degree of comfort my children feel in his office far outweigh the lack of privacy. I hope he never retires.

I remember two doctors from when I was a child. My pediatrician and my children's dentist, Dr. Corbman. Because of the experiences with these two doctor's, I actually enjoy going to the doctor/dentisit. I was Dr. Corbman's patient from when I was 3 until I graduated from college. I have had a lot of dentistry work done and dental education in my childhood, thus my permanent teeth have had nil issues, since I know how to take care of them properly.

Now that I have moved to New York, I drive 2.5 hours to bring my daughter to him. I feel as though positive experiences with doctors and dentists are very crucial to a child's growth as as a person. I feel Dr. Corbman gives that experience.

And remember, "May the floss be with you."

Hope you take your kids to the dentist FOR the dentist, not to be entertained. There is a TV in the waiting room with appropriate shows, however, you'll notice that the room is humble. Why is that a problem? I prefer humble versus debt/overspending on nonsense to pretend that the dentist is "fun." It does not matter what fancy waiting room theme is present if your child does not want to go. I have three sons who have only gone to Dr. Corbman with no problems. Carol has continuously provided proper customer service and anwsers any billing questions promptly. As far as privacy - just ask for it - they will talk to you in the back. Geez - is that really such a big deal? I'd reccommend this practice!

Dr. Corbman has treated my daughter who is now 18yrs old, since she was 3 yrs old. He is a great dentist and a wonderful human being! Not only does he take the time to make your child feel comfortable with his funny jokes, and humor, he treats them with respect as if they were adults. Myself and countless of our friends in the Pennridge communtiy have entrusted our children with him with only positive results. I also have witnessed him go above and beyond to treat a friend's handicapped child with compassion and dignity.

Who cares what the waiting room looks like???

We were referred to Dr. Corbman by our family dentistry practice when my son was too afraid to sit still to get a cavity filled (he's 5). They said "go to Dr. Corbman, he'll be able to fill it". And they were right- he is so attuned to the children, and completely gets down on their level with high fives, etc. My son was all smiles when he came out. If the only issue is that its not a luxurious office with privacy, I think its not worth mentioning, Kids don't notice that kind of thing, they notice people that take a genuine interest in them and treat them with care and respect. The office is completely geared toward the child as a patient; we as adults are second on the list, and, quite frankly, I think that's how it should be when it comes to your child's care.

Last time we were in my daughter hugged Dr. Corbman when she was finished. She is very afraid and had two major reconstructions a year ago. Dr. Corbman makes her feel good about having her teeth checked and she really likes him. Yes, the office is not private, but I think parents need to suck it up. It's not about you, it's about making the kids feel comfortable.

Waiting room is small and Dr talks about your child infront of everyone, should have a office for the privacy laws!!! Parents are not aloud to see the exam rooms ever.
He tells you whats wrong and walks away expecting you to just trust him. Was bothered when i asked to see x-rays. Lied to me and said my son was fine. Later after talking to my son i find out he cried twice.
Only provideds white fillings, but no one ever tells you this. So beware most insurances don't cover them for baby and back teeth. So be prepared to pay!!!!

Dr. Corbman is very good with his patients. Unfortunately, as a previous poster indicated, there is no privacy there as he will tell you the problems in the waiting room in front of other families, which can be a little awkwards.

My children have been going to Dr Corbman since they were 3 years old. I have been extremely satisfied with the way Dr Corbman treats my children and the way the office staff is very accommodating to my schedule as a working parent. According to my son, Dr Corbman makes going to the dentist fun.

Dr Corbman is very good with the kids. He is not very helpful with the parents and does not have an office for you to talk to him. Any problems are announced throughout the waiting room. Carol the front desk person is horrible. She is rude and unproffesional. I would not recommend his office to anyone. I really think they deserve 0 stars!

When my daughter was 3 years old she had a cavity filled here. I'm not joking - when she was done she actually said "That was fun, can I do it again!" The staff are friendly and the office is very kid-oriented. The only problem is that they don't accept very many different insurance companies.
