Dr. Curry is a young, energetic, intelligent and caring doctor. During surgery, he found he needed to perform additional procedures for optimal results; he did so at no additional cost. I'm not sure how other doctors handle this situation because I can imagine that many patients would be unhappy to be charged for an unexpected procedure and might even feel the doctor should have known what was required before starting the procedure. I don't feel that way and am quite appreciative that Dr. Curry did everything possible to ensure a good outcome. I believe there are some things a doctor just can't know until he is doing the procedure. And the fact that he did not charge for the additional procedures speaks volumes about him; the additional costs would have been $4,200. As my mother did not have insurance coverage for these procedures we are grateful for his generosity.

Dr. Curry placed 6 implants for my mother and was excellent every step of the way. When the procedure was priced the cost of the [necessary] abutments ($3,000 - 6@$500 each) was not included so we were surprised to find we had this additional cost. Sedation (which is optional) during an after surgery procedure was also an additional cost of $400. My recommendation is to carefully discuss every aspect of your procedure and make sure you know the cost of everything involved before starting (if cost will make a difference for you). That said, I can't imagine a better doctor or staff. They were all wonderful.

While everyone in their office is very friendly, I've had the worst business experience. We were told that $5,000 would cover the costs for my grandmother's dental surgery. When we were charged an additional $5,000, we were shocked, but felt we were too far along to back out. After paying $10,000 for surgery costs, we received a COLLECTION LETTER for an additional $3,000 (costs of which we were unaware, but promptly paid). On top of this, my grandmother was asked if she would like IV sedation for the next step of surgically opening up the gums over the implants - if so, an additional $400 would be required. Full disclosure of costs not given up-front did not allow me to make an informed decision about the extent of work to be performed.
Update: I gave five stars because Dr. Curry really seems to put the patient first and give excellent care. He performed additional procedures at no additional cost--$4200 worth--once my grandmother was in surgery, and he saw what was needed--this speaks for itself. We are very grateful for what he has done. I also don't feel that his performance should be judged by a lack of understanding in the business side of my experience with the office, when what is most important is the care and treatment of my grandmother--which we feel was above par. I would go back to him and send others that I care about to him.
