I've been seeing Dr. Khalily for a while and I found her easy to dialogue with and she is very down-to-earth. Sometimes there is a wait but if a patient is having a major issue it can take longer to deal with a patient. If I leave a message, Dr. Khalily returns calls the same day. If there is an emergency, she tries to get a person in, so there may be some overbooking because a person could be having a crisis. After all, this is psychiatry. Contrary to what other reviews are saying, I find the staff pleasant and professional. It is hard to get an appt with her and I think that is with all mental health physicians because of the number of people who need help. When I first went to her, it took 6 weeks to get in to see her but I have a primary care physician and she helped me until I could see Dr. Khalily. She is careful with medications...making sure they are working for the patient and is aware not to over do it. It is helpful to share other medical issues with her so that she knows the effects of medications. Now onto some suggestions: She needs a larger sitting area for patients with new furniture and the office needs to be set up so patients don't see other patients...more privacy. But since we all coming in for help, whatever. She needs larger digs, period. Also, she will be listening to you but it may seem like she isn't but she can hear everything you are saying and will ask follow up questions, etc. For some people who need a lot of attention this can be a problem. I guess I have thicker skin and if she is helping me, I can deal with some quirks. I have referred several people to Dr. Khalily and will continue to do so.

The staff is extremely rude, and you're found waiting there for long periods of time. I feel as if she never takes the time to actually sit down to assure the medications are working correctly. I stopped seeing her after just 3 visits.
