Therapy is an opportunity to solve problems, to overcome difficulties you might face in your relationships, career, or emotions. Therapy is a specific relationship that is focused on making the healthy changes you want and need to make. As a psychologist, I teach skills and offer this unique relationship that empowers you to be present, confident, resourceful, and kind. You don't have to be stuck, overwhelmed, or feel disconnected from your life. Therapy can help.
Much of my approach to therapy is based on the concept and practice of mindfulness. Mindfulness reveals how wellness is our natural state of being, and that everyone has the potential to reclaim and rediscover their inherent vitality, sanity, and kindness. Positive change, better emotional health, and a more satisfying life is possible because this natural wellness is always available.
I work with adults, couples, and children (ages 4-17). I treat depression, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, chronic pain, relationship problems, anger, trauma, grief, stress, ADD/ADHD, and issues related to chronic illness, physical disability, substance abuse, parenting, career goals, spirituality, cultural identity, sexuality, and life transitions.
