With only a couple of exceptions, all visits resulted in a referral to someone 'more qualified'. One referral turned out to be someone writing prescriptions on a retired physicians pad and another diagnosed insomnia on an adrenal tumor. Never met the doctor during the 7 years I was going there, only Julie Grazer and Stephen Galya. When given a physical, was told that I needed various tests, but no paperwork provided for tests. When I fell critically ill and hospitalized, I called the office and was told that they couldn't help me and they had no further contact with hospital. Upon release I was told to return to PCP and I did, but all they did was insist on rerunning the tests that the hospital had just performed. $18,000 worth of tests. Previous tests were not reviewed, prescriptions for BP were not refilled, basically everything from hospital was ignored. When I went to them to get a splinter of glass removed from my finger, they wanted to utilize a full operating room at $10,000. Can't justify the costs for the lack of services.

Dr. Kuzio and his staff use to be great. But now, it has gone downhill. I've waited as long as two hours to see a doctor once. Julie has had me under her care since 2006 and maybe even before that. She's been treating my thyroid since 2006. She has never been able to fix it. In 2010, I was informed via messages as having diabetes. After looking at my blood test and comparing them with blood tests from 2006, 2008 and 2010, I saw that my glucose had been high and kept increasing, liver counts, thyroid, glucose, triglycerides and cholesterol started to rise. Julie scolded me, telling me that it was my fault...that I wasn't taking my thyroid medicine right. In 2010, they finally made me take that fasting glucose test and checked my A1c which was 7.0. She was so focused on my thyroid, that she didn't inform me until my third blood test in 2010 that i was diabetic. The clencher was when I took my daughter there for her appointment where we waited 45 minutes in the waiting room and 45 minutes in the exam room when a doctor stuck his head in and informed me that he had the wrong room. We waited an additional 15 minutes for him to actually show up. That's it! I fired my doctor...wait, nurse practitioner, always saw Julie. I saw Kuzio one time. Oh I forgot, they told me one time that I might have cervical cancer and a heart problem. I don't think they know what they are doing. My husband is beig treated by Kuzio and he is having problems as well. He's had laryngitis for a month and I've noticed that they like using an inject-able steroid and it hasn't done anything for him not to mention his other health issues that I don't think they look at the whole picture. They treat the symptoms, not the whole. I have a new Dr, Dr. John Murimi and him and his office are great. Not only is my thyroid better, my A1c is now 5.6 and he did this all in less than 10 months of seeing him. Because Kuzio's staff didn't do their job, I almost lost my job. Now that I am better, my job is no longer in jeopardy. Kuzio...thumbs down. Murimi...thumbs up.

I was absolutely shocked when I came upon these negative reviews against Dr Kuzio and his staff. Our family has been seeing Dr. Kuzio and Julie for our medical needs for 7 years now and are very pleased with Dr Kuzio, Julie and the entire staff. It is generally very easy to get a same day appointment when you call early in the a.m.. If they are booked they try to work you in when it is a sick visit. They are all very professional and respectful of their patients. I am not one to write reviews online, but couldn't stand by and let people slam this wonderful family Dr. and his staff.

I agree with the statements below, this is the WORST medical practice I have EVER seen! I am no longer a patient of Acworth Family Medicine. IF you can ever get someone on the phone, many times you wish you hadn't, they are SO rude and short with you. EVERYONE there hates their job, it is more than obvious! I had a horrible meeting with the same NP, Julie. I had received an appointment that was the last of the day and I was coming in to discuss a new weight loss prescription that was on the market. This NP came in with her keys in her hand and her purse on her wrist, obviously ready to go, and asked me why I was there. I asked her about this prescription and instead of answering my question she got on her soap box and told me that there is no magic pill and that if I wanted to lose weight I needed to get off the couch and stop eating so much. She hadn't offered up any suggestions, she didn't ask me what I was currently doing, NOTHING! Stunned, I didn't have anything to say, and she literrally just walked out. I didn't even move and I saw her getting into her car from the office window, I couldn't believe that someone, who supposedly loves to help the sick, just treated me this way. I went out to my car and started sobbing! Thankfully, after a REAL medical person, my OBGYN took some time and had some tests ran, I am down 60 pounds and counting. Acworth family medicine absolutely SUCKS!

HORRIBLE STAFF! Please stay away! The nurse practitioner, Julie Grazier, decided that during my teenage daughter's physical instead of going over her health and any concerns, she would tell her that she had self-esteem issues because she wears her hair over part of her face. She wanted to know if my daughter knew what others were thinking of her when she looked like that. What her classmates thought of her. My daughter is an abuse survivor and feels more comfortable being covered up. There is nothing wrong with how she looks. She is a child trying to find her identity. She walked out of there feeling like there is something wrong with her, that she's just not good enough. After years of getting my daughter to love and accept herself for who she is this lady decides to break her down and make her feel horrible about herself! STAY AWAY!

Do yourself a big favor and go to another medical practice~ We've been treated poorly both personally-in the rudeness!!!!! factor (although I must say Kuzio himself has a good bedside manner~but don't hold your breath trying to see him!) and most importantly MEDICALLY!! No one really seems to care about the patient there. All sorts of incompetence with his staff!! And THEY DON'T CARE!! Go to Robin Loe or James Elsbree on Mars Hill. Look up their ratings!! Look up Kuzio's!! What a difference!!! It's so sad that a medical doctor allows his office to run this way. Does he know the bad rep he's getting? Surely he's aware of losing patients and for what reasons. Maybe he's in it for the $$ and going to retire soon....and sell off his practice....that would make sense, providing that there are patients left. He better sell soon!

It is always easy to get a same day appointment in Dr. Kuzio's office. You may end up seeing his assistant, but she is not subpar. The staff is friendly and thorough,
