My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed from Traub because he was the only one that could get her in fast. The treatment we received was ok, and Traub reassured me that my insurance co. would cover all of it.
However, on Dec.24th I received a bill from the anesthesiologist for 680.00 and when I called them they said that the dentist did not get an approval first, and therefore I owed them the money.
When I called and spoke with Traub's wife who handles the insurance, she said she did everything right, and they were wrong. Neither side wanted to help, and Traub was paid so case closed.
It became my "mission" to get the insurance company to pay the anesthesiologist, which I eventually did in a six week period. Even though both doctors agreed it was highly unusual for insurance not to pay, they neglected and refused to call the insurance and straighten it out.
I would never go back to Traub because of this. After they are paid, they are done with you, and you're on your own. His wife isn't the nices person either, she's just a collector without a personality.
My daughter now has jaw pain, but I'll have another dentist check that out, I just don't trust anyone who can drop the ball like that.
I am a practitioner and know how unethical it is to tell a patient one thing and then dismiss it when it doesn't turn out that way.

Dr. Traub removed wisdom teeth from both of my teenaged children about a year apart. He was amazing and made us all comfortable. He was great even calling the day following their respective surgeries to see how they were doing. He is a talented surgeon who is very respectful and skilled at explaining the upcoming procedure.

Getting my wisdom teeth removed was something to which I was not looking forward. My dentist recommended Dr. Traub to me. My extraction went very well, and was not nearly as bad as I had expected it to be!
