Dr. Kemp is a very good doctor, yet his office procedures and wait times are unreasonable. His staff is unfriendly, unprofessional and speaks to you minimally. They definitely need training in customer service and how to run a professional office. No phone calls are ever returned to the patients, pharmacy, insurance or medical companies working with patients. When you are finally in front of Dr. Kemp he is very accommodating and professional. He is very knowledgeable and seems to care about your condition. Great personality and easy to talk to. Any time that you or anyone else needs to contact him or his office outside of being in his presence is impossible. I don't feel like his patients are treated with respect by his staff and while waiting other patients are all commenting on the same problems about how his office is run. My wait times with a scheduled appointment have exceeded 2 hours on many occasions and it is never less than one hour.
I personally have never been treated so rudely by office staff and others trying to contact him on my behalf (such as pharmacists, insurance, etc.) have commented the same to me. You can only get a message to him through a recording indicating it is ext.15 and calls are never returned or responded to as if no one ever received the message. It is embarrassing to hear the comments back from Professionals trying to contact your Dr. and get results in a timely manner. The ironic part is that most of his patients are there for pain management and disabilities and need to visit frequently. It is not only physically painful but impossible to schedule your time with others transporting you for your scheduled appointments with the wait times.
I do feel he is an excellent doctor and actually cares about his patients well being. I can not recommend his practice to others because his staff has the attitude that they don't want to be bothered and the unprofessional office practices. I feel bad for him because I don't believe he is aware of how frustrating it is for the patients and others trying to contact him or his office and it definitely reflects on his practice.
