This is a dentist who will go above and beyond. I needed extensive work done that was going to take several visits. Because of business commitments in Florida, I was able to be in town once a month on weekends. He came in at 7:30 a.m. on those Saturdays (about 6 times), and did work that I am satisfied with today (this happened five years ago). He told me when NOT to save money, and is a terrific person. If you want fair and quality treatment, ignore the ridiculous review below and go see Dr. Cooley.

Horrible dentist. Don't go unless you want to experience moderate to significant pain. My daughter and I never had one single visit when we did not experience some level of pain. I've even heard patients screaming in pain. When I sent a letter questioning a charge, he became spiteful and vindictive and returned the letter with comments saying that I was being insulting. Even after I paid the charge and sent another letter thanking him for his explanation and explaining to him my confusion over the billing statement, he sent a harassing letter. This was after I requested my dental records so that my daughter and I could go to another dentist. In the years I went to him, he sent me to an orthodontist who said having work done was not necessary and to an oral surgeon, who also said the same. I complained for nearly two years about a tooth pain. He claimed I was grinding my teeth. Turns out, I needed a route canal. Since he refuses to work with anyone in town who can do a route canal, I had to drive to Grand Rapids 3 trips (6 hours total) to have that done. I recently had a crown done, and it has caused me nothing but pain. He claims he filed it down himself because he didn't like the way the lab does it, but I think he's cheap and was just trying to cut costs. Another dentist will need to fix it. My daughter had 3 fillings that have caused her problems. She will need to have those fixed. His office is stuffy and uptight. He is old, has lost his touch, and needs to retire. I think he is a cantankerous, vindictive, insecure, small minded person. I'm so glad I left his practice.

I went to Dr. Cooleys office to have my bridge redone. I am truly very unhappy with his service, he is however a nice guy. it took 6 months for him to make one that fit and 6 different sets for a simple procedure that should not have taken anymore than 30 days. also very expensive. the office and receptionists are nice, and they are in a good location, but that's about it.
