Was weighing my options between Laser Spine (which i was sold on except for the cost) and traditional surgery, I found Dr Hannallah. Not only did he explain my situation better than the other doctors, he also took the time to answer questions i didn't even know i had. They procedure went very well with the most painful part being removal adhesive tape from my hairy arm. I would highly recommend Dr David Hannallah.

I am Type 2 Diabetes. Dr. Hannallah and the Mt. Carmel Hospital are a world class operation. I had distended colon after surgery ( my digestion system also went to sleep) which kept in hospital a couple extra days....the total MCW staff was terrific. Dr. Hannallah's office has been totally responsive to any calls I've made to the office ( wound itching was driving me crazy). The Phys Therpay at hospital was terrific. Go in with your own can-do attitude and all will go well.
No back pain....once in a while a background dull ache but no bigtime pain. Had L4-L5 fused. He cleaned out herniated disk trash and bone spurs that had been pressing on a nerve creating sciatica pain/spasms, etc. 3 weeks out I can do steps to the upstairs of the house, go to the mailbox with a cane. I'm super happy with Dr. Hannallah's expertise. Check him out....he has quite an educational background and this is his field!

By the time my Dr. referred me to Dr. Hannallah, I had been in pain for a year. He did not rush me into surgery he gave me my options and recommended the least invasive first. I ended up back in a couple months and had successful back surgery. I feel great! I would recommend Dr. Hannallah to my family and friends, and will see him again if future problems arise.

I was diagnosed with a fracture of the L2 vertebrae and referred to Dr. Hannallah. I had seen another doctor who painted a very bleak picture of my condition and failed to answer my questions. Dr. Hannallah listened to my concerns and took the time I needed to be assured of the course of my treatment. He patiently answered all of my questions. When a problem arose and I needed to see him quickly his staff got me in the same day and after a thorough exam he found the problem and took care of it.

I have recommended him already to a friend. He is a very caring and kind doctor.

Dr. Hannallah was patient, kind and understanding. He gave me all my options and I chose surgery. I had a very painful herniated lumbar disc that pressed on my nerve. He said his surgery schedule was one month out. When I told him I didn't want to wait that long, he generously added me on to his surgery schedule at the end of the day. I was in his office for a consult on a Thursday and had surgery the next Tuesday. The surgery went well and I'm now pain free. Unlike many doctors, he adequately took care of my post-surgical pain. His staff is excellent, compassionate and responsive, also. When I leave a message, it's returned the same day.
I highly recommend Dr. Hannallah to anyone looking for an excellent orthopedic surgeon!!

I am 4 months into recovery from my 5 hour, L4-L5, laminedomy and fusion surgery. At 62 years of age, I do not form or share hasty opinions. Thus, when I tell you that I would like to thank Dr. David Hannallah for relieving me from the excruciating pain of a severely pinched sciatic nerve, be assured that my thanks are sincere, heartfelt and thoroughly thought out.
Upon awaking from this surgery, my pain level had dropped from a constant pre-surgery level of 10+++ to about a 3. One week after the surgery, all pain was gone and no pain medication was needed. At 12 days post surgery, I began rehab. I returned to work three weeks after the surgery. Yes, at times, my back is stiff; I have four bolts and two rods in my spine. Exercise does diminish this stiffness; the stiffness is a small compromise to remain pain free, regain the ability to walk long distances and have all of my bodily parts functioning properly.

Dr. Hannallah is professional and knowledgeable. He diagnosed my problem and explained it to me so that I could understand what was causing my extreme pain. He then discussed treatment options and gave me realistic expectations of those that were the most viable to me. He respected my decisions regarding my treatment.
Once surgery become the only option, he immediately scheduled it.
It has been one and a half weeks since my microdiscectomy and I am pain free. I am able to stand straight, and function like the me of many years ago!!!!! I couldn't be more pleased!
I feel so fortunate to have crossed paths with Dr. Hannallah. He is the best doctor ever. Not only does he know what he is doing, he has that rare ability to be able to explain it to the patient....and my husband, and my mom.......! He is patient, professional yet kind.

Dr. Hannallah was one of the most compasionate doctors I have ever met. He would personally call me back when I was having so much pain. I am very pleased with my surgery, although at first I was not sure if that was what I wanted. I would recommend Dr. Hannallah to every one
