I believe in the power of the healing relationship between therapist and client, where we strive to be self-aware, honest and real. My office provides a comfortable atmosphere where I am non-judgmental in my approach. My mission is to help improve my clients' lives by focusing on their strengths to create a healthy difference that is long lasting.
There are times when a loss or life change brings many feelings, including the discomfort of anxiety and a feeling of low energy. If events in your life have caused you to question even your most basic decisions, if you are feeling sad, depressed, stressed, or think you may need help for yourself or your relationships, please call me right away.
The sooner you get help, the sooner your healing can begin.
I utilize evidence based treatments with an eclectic theoretical approach including but not limited to cognitive behavioral, reality therapy, play therapy, psychodynamic, and gestalt interventions. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including a sexual violence center, community health centers, private practice, community-based crisis counseling, and parenting settings.
When you don't know what to do, what do you do? Your answer to this thoughtful question marks the beginning of a rewarding personal journey. We all need three thingsβ??to belong, to experience intimacy, and, every now and again, to feel special. This is not too much to ask from our lives. But learning how to get what we most need requires that we catch up with our past, become better at navigating our future, and become more present with and sensitive to what is happening right now. Getting these needs met requires the willingness to make new mistakes and learn a new way of dealing with old problems.
