I've gone to chiropractors, massage therapists (even an accupuncturist for a while) for at least 8 years and NEVER had relief from back pain as I got here.

I had at least 10 sessions with her (or occassionally her assistants). Debbie took me from my primary complaint (sore lower back) to causes and conditions, to directed exercises and stretching and core-building. She struck me as very detail-oriented, thorough, attentive, and knowledgeable in MANY related areas. From what I saw, she treats high-end athletes (such as marathoners and tri-athletes etc) as well as "average" people recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgery. In my case it went back to a skiing knee injury some 30 years ago - and my lack of STRETCHING (a good idea for most but a MUST for people who spend too much time at a desk!) - and finally core strength.

I highly recommend her!!

I practice acupuncture and other healing arts and treat a lot of pain syndromes. I have been referring some of my patients to Debbie for 5 years and have always seen incredible progress with the patients I have sent to Debbie.
She is professional gets to the core and understands also the holistic approach and is incredibly cooperative in working as a team for the benefit of our mutual patient, which is something that not all therapists do.
I have to say that I have never been treated by Debbie, simply because I have not had the need, but I do get plenty of feedback from my patients, that have been many, in the last 5 years I have had a professional relationship with Debbie. I do not hesitate when it comes to referring someone who needs physical therapy. She cares and is an amazing educator.

Pros: Knowledgable, competent and professional

Cons: Overbooked schedule sometimes

Even though Linda and Daniel are great therapists, I would highly recommend going somewhere else for therapy because you will always have to deal with Debbie no matter which therapist treats you.

Pros: I totally agree with Mondaisy's review.

Cons: Mondaisy was too nice about Debbie Leiter.

Debbie has years of hands on experience and works with patients one on one. She first helped me with a lower back problem that I had suffered with for years-went to doctors, etc, with no real insight or relief for the problem. I have been to her for a variety of other injuries relating to running and poor body mechanics. Linda, the other therapist in the office has treated me as well and is also excellent. Both therapists are serious about getting you well, and correcting underlying causes. The focus is recovery but with exercises and routines to build strength and prevent further problems.
I have referred many many friends and acquaintances to both Debbie and Linda and all have had excellent results. Wear comfortable workout clothes - no whirlpool treatments here.

Cons: No HMO's are accepted- but self pay is reasonable

After many years of treatment with other therapist, for a couple of car accidents, with no positive results....I was referred to Debbie Leiter. She was a G-d send. Over the years I have gone to Debbie for various problems from neck problems, lower back problems and elbow tendonities. All of which Debbie cured in a very reasonable amount of time. Using both hands on treatment as well as training me in exercise programs my ailments were cured. I was finally pain free after many years of tolerating my issues and pains.

I have referred many friends and family to Debbie who are equally as happy with there progress as I am. You couldn't ask for a better or more dedicated and caring physical therapist.

Pros: Has a sixth sense of diagnosis & treatment

Cons: Doesn't take my insurance but reasonable self pay rates

I lost my cell phone and went on the net to get Debbie's number as once again I'm in need of her services. I happened upon the first reviewer who mostly got all the good stuff right about Debbie but I'm guessing has some type of personal issue that really shouldn't be part of this kind of review.

I've been going to see Debbie off and on for five years. She has helped me and my son through all kinds of injuries. Her abilities are really amazing. I shouldn't say this but I generally find that she does a better job diagnosing the problem than the doctor does. Debbie does as good a job promptly solving the problem as she does diagnosing it. And yes, she does care about you and making you better. I don't see that as a negative.

I've been to quite a few PT's given my long term running and bike riding and no one is as good as Debbie. There's a reason why I keep going back to her and its that same reason why even someone who wants to unfairly critisize her has to say some good things about Debbie.

If it weren't for Debbie I would not be able to do what I do now athletically. I really wish every medical professional I used was as dedicated and talented as she is.

Pros: Very knowledgeable and highly motivated

Cons: Sometimes difficult to get an appointment

Excellent trained therapists are very helpful. One on One therapy is outstanding. Small, intimate environment.

Debbie is an intelligent, exceptional PT, she can have a fun personality but very difficult to deal with. She is judgemental, opinionated, moody, gets angry easily, has a very strong personality and a short fuse. If things don't go her way, the whole office feels her negative presence and her clients and staff are scared of her. She brings her personal life to her work and explodes regularly.

If she likes you and you can deal with Debbie Downer, her OCD will work for you because she is very motivated for clients to succeed. She has a precise knowledge of proper exercises. If she doesn't care for you, experiencing her can be a nightmare.
