Dr. Minjarez herself is a very nice person with a warm bedside manner. That was never the problem. The problem was that the practice is run like a factory. There is very little personalized attention and outside of the 15 minute office appointment that you get directly with Dr. Minjarez, the show is run by a wide variety of staff, mainly nurse practitioners. Sadly, the practice seems to be a revolving door for nurse practitioners and in the 3 years that I went to CCRM I had about 7 different NPs that were "assigned to my case". I found this system less than adequate. In addition, the quality of care that I received from most of the NPs was less than adequate. Between the Rose and the Lone Tree offices, no one could seem to understand what care I was receiving. They would call me and ask me senseless questions about my cycle that lead me to believe they had no idea what they were talking about. This left me feeling unsafe and a bit concerned about the care I was receiving.

Then a same-sex couple we are very close friends with went to see CCRM after deciding to have a child. CCRM turned this couple away. I think this speaks volumes and after this, I'm not sure I want to be affiliated with a practice that discriminates and chooses who is and is not fit to have children. That type of medicine is a bit patriarchal for my taste.

Overall, I thought CCRM was mediocre at best and would prefer to see a doctor in a practice with a bit more of a soft touch instead of that factory feel. IVF is hard enough as it is emotionally speaking. It would be nice to have a more personal touch in my opinion.
