I was sent here on a referral from Community Health in Everett. I was okay going here and having the tooth pulled and I wish to God I never had. Dr. Kaur is the one who pulled my tooth and she could not get it out and started moving it back and forth and sideways to get it out. It was a lot of pressure then what I have ever gone thru having any teeth pulled. I went home with there instructions and did exactly as I was told. It took almost 4 hrs for it to quit bleeding. The shots she gave me have worn off and now it's time to start taking the vicodin that I did not get from them. I already had my pain meds and antibiotics prior to going to them. I had this done on 11/7/13 and to this day the pain has continually gotten worse. My jaw is swollen and the gum hurts so bad I can't stand for anything to touch it. I hate taking any meds but I can't live without taking the pain meds now because of how bad it hurts. I went back to Community Health this morning because of the pain and they told me there was a state law saying I had to go back to the Dr. who pulled the tooth, so I called Dr. Chothia office and left a message to please call me regarding the pain. They did call me at 9:05 when they opened up and gave me an appt for 2pm today. I told the receptionist what the Community Health told me and about my pain issue. It took them 35 min to get me back to a room, because they had also booked another tooth extraction for the same time at 2pm. The assist told me I would be seeing a different Dr. today as Dr. Kaur works on Mondays and Thursdays. Dr. Chothia comes in and asks me what is going on. I told him and he looked in my mouth and said it is already almost closed up and there is nothing that can be causing the pain. I said something is wrong because it hurts really bad and you need to check it out. He took and exray and said I told you nothing is wrong and everything is okay. He said I'll give you a referral and you can go somewhere else to the UW and check it out yourself. He told me in front of the lady who came in for the extraction at 2pm to get out of his office and for the receptionist to call the police to have me removed. He is mean and very unproffessional. I would not reccomend this office to any one I know, because of how he treated me. He is suppose to be a dentist and he should of figured out where the pain was coming from. I never even asked him for pain meds, so it's obvious I'm not a drug abuser. I now have an appt with Community Health in the morning and God willing they can figure what went wrong.

This office gets referrals from many clinics and other doctors offices for the quality of services that they provide. I have a friend who works there and she told me that they have more than 8000 patients on record. I had my wisdom teeth removed there with no problems at all. I disagree completely with the negative reviews. This a clean and well-maintained office with excellent standards. They provide a very needed service to underserved people needing their wisdom teeth out.

The office was not very clean. The assistants were friendly, but I was shocked at the way I was treated by Dr.Hashim Chothia. I was scared at the thought of getting my wisdom teeth taken out and I was not sure how the procedure was done. Nothing was really explained to me prior to getting them pulled. I was very tense and after he pulled the first one out, he yelled at me, literally yelled and said he would not do any more if I was so tense, that I was faking and I should go home and come back when I am not nervous. I apologized and tried to tell him that I would not move this time and was less afraid since I knew what would happen for the next tooth. But he would not listen to me, he cut me off and stormed out of the room. I waited for 30 minutes in the dental chair and finally had to go ask someone to find him to ask if he really did want me to go home or if he would do my other teeth. So he finally came back after about 45 minutes and told me the same thing, that he would not do any more if i was tense, etc. I told him not to talk to me like I was a child and he told me that he would talk to me like a child if i acted like one!! He told me I had put on a performance. I think he did though!! I had him take out one more tooth because it was the one that was bothering me, but I kept the other two in because I was not comfortable there. I have DSHS so I was told that's the only place I could go. The work he did actually was not painful and he did it very quick. But he treated me horribly and actually made me cry! He's a total jerk and has not right treating patients that way.

Best Dentist ever! I am so grateful to have found Dr. Chothia, he is an amazing dentist. I went to see him to get my extrememly complicated wisdom teeth removed. He did an excellent job and made me feel at ease. I don't agree with the other reviews below. My wisdom teeth were pretty complicated and he was gentle and excellent in the care he provided. Also, the dentist office may be small but does not say anything about the quality of care. He knows what he is doing and is also a member of the Seattle King County Forensics Committee so he is highly credible. I will see him until he decides to quit. I refuse to see anyone else but him.

I'm on dshs medical insurance and was referred to chothia. I get very nervous at the dentist and always have, and when i got all the shots in my mouth to numb up the areas where my wisdom teeth were, i started to cry and didn't feel very well. when the dental asst. came in the room she gave me some tissue, and told me i would be fine and the worst was over!! i was told to rub my jaws where i was so tense, and chothia came back into the room and told me that he has done this for 25 years and could pull teeth with his eyes closed, so if i were to feel pain, "it would be your fault" ( as in my fault!) i just let that go, but when he was checking to see if my teeth were numb enough, he poked so hard into my bottom right side wisdom tooth because it wasn't numb yet, i started telling him owe owe owe that really hurts!! he took a step back and told me "if you tell me owe owe owe i WILL not believe you and i will think you are lying, only TELL me one time that it hurts" he said very rudely..... he had also said tome that this could either take 2 hours or this could take all night and he really didnt want to waste his time!!!! I have never been treated like this in my whole entire life and i have spent alot of time in hospitals and dental offices! it was obvious that i was nervous and didn't want to be there, but i needed my teeth to be pulled badly. i would not refer him to any body i kno or even dislike! i left there in tears yesterday and i still cant understand why i was treated this way

I was referred to this dentist last year to get my wisdom tooth removed, I was only numbed when I had a very hard tooth to remove. He has to numb me 4 times because I could still feel everything he was doing. The tooth was J shaped and should have been taking out while I was under general anethesia not just numbed in a typical dentist office. But this is where I was told to go so I did. I took at least 2 hours to remove, my jaw was in pain for so long from it being yanked back and forth. I ended up having nerve damage and my lip and chin and front teeth were numb for about 3months after this because of nerve damage. I had an infection also following and had to go to the ER to get a stronger antibiotic and some pain medicine because their office was closed and no emergency number just the typical call 911 if it is after hours. I won't be going back there and wouldn't advise it! Its also a small office, he is the only dentist there and it looks more like a house then a building. When I told him I was numb still he said oh that normal NO ITS NOT if you are numb more then 2 days after you have nerve damage, luckily mine was temporary (3 months rather then for life) but he totally dismissed it and that to me is careless and I won't go back. Its not that it gave me nerve damage or I should have been knocked out its the way he handled it in general like it was no big deal.
