We have taken all of our pets (cats and dogs) to Valley West Vet Hospital for over 30 years and have always received the best of care with a caring and friendly staff...We are very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone.

I've been a patient for 5 years and very pleased with the staff, Dr. Derick and my results. If you are in the Barrington area and in need of a dermatologist, you should be going here. I trust Dr. Derick and the office and enjoy being a patient.

Everything about Derick Dermatology is amazing from the moment you make your first phone call there. The staff is friendly, the nurses are amazing, and Dr. Derick could not be more wonderful. Very highly recommended.

I had a very good experience with Derrick Dermatology. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. Appointments are on time and in most cases additional treatments can be done right away. I'm also very pleased that they have opened an office in Crystal Lake.

I went in for my second visit and it was just as good as my first visit and the result was even better. The tattoo I want to remove is much lighter than before and the healing process was very smooth. A doctor called me the next day to ask me if everything was okay so the customer service was excellent. I recommend Derick Dermatology to anyone who is thinking about removing their tattoo.

Beautiful office! I went for a consultation and I was a bit nervous at first. I was quickly put at ease and felt very comfortable talking with the Medical Assistant about all my concerns. I was able to have a procedure done by Dr. Derick right away and I am more than pleased with the results. I highly recommend this office!

Went to this practice recently, and had a heck of an experience. The technician who performed my procedure was incompetent, to say the least. As a result, she damaged my skin. Attempting to follow-up with Dr. Derick regarding how to care for my damaged skin was a waste of time. I was stunned to hear that she was clueless as to what recommendation to make to help me! Her demeanor was rude and arrogant, her tone was hurried. I did not feel like a valued patient at all at this practice. Additionally, the wait time was ridiculously long. I waited 20 minutes before I was called into a room, and then I was left waiting for another 15 minutes while in the room. To make matters worse, the technician was in and out of the room three times before she finally started my procedure! I will never go to this practice again, and I would encourage anyone who is wondering whether to attend this practice to do yourself a favor and keep looking.

I have been going to Dr. Derick's office for 6 years,and prefer to see her instead of the PA. Dr. Derick takes time to answer all of your questions and is always professional, yet personable. I saw many dermatologists before seeing Dr. Derick, and she has been the ONLY one to treat my acne successfully, and improve my overall appearance. I am 46 years old, and always get compliments on how young I look, and how nice my skin looks. All I can say is " Thank You, Dr. Derick!"

I went to Derick Dermatology for a wart treatment. I was seen by Kathleen Bowman who was very nice, personable and professional. My warts were treated with liquid nitrogen which worked very well and I didn??t need to go in for a second visit. The treatment was painless, healed quickly and without any scaring. I highly recommend this dermatologist, the staff is pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful in addressing any questions or concerns.

I love the fact that they had extended office hours so I didn't need to take off of work.
Everyone I met at Derick Dermatology was extremely nice and helpful! The waiting area was beautiful and I felt very relaxed while waiting - although I didn't wait long. About the time I finished signing in the were ready to bring me back to the room. I worked with Karen Smith and she couldn't have been better. I was in for a full body skin cancer check - which has the potential to be embarrasing... but she was so professional and sweet I forgot I was 99% undressed (except for my gown) and was laughing and talking about wedding plans. I had a biopsy and the nurse called within a couple of days to give me the results. I wish every doctor I visited was as efficient as Dr. Derick's office! A++

I went in to get my first full skin exam. What normally would be a very awkward and uncomfortable situation was treated with utmost respect. My questions where answered and recommendations where made. I plan to return to get further things checked out in the future.

I have always been very pleased with the care and treatment I receive at Derick Dermatology. The office is beautiful, the staff are kind, and wait time has never been long. They always take the time to explain procedures to me and to answer any questions I may have, and I've been very pleased with the results of my skin treatments.

I highly recommend Derick Dermatology. Dr. Derick has my complete confidence. She has provided me with medical advice as well as cosmetic tips on controlling the redness of my face. The entire staff is very supportive and knowledgeable about lotions, cleansers and make-up that are effective.

I recently tried the laser treatment and wish I hadn't waited so long. The reduction of redness on my face is astonishing. I didn't think my skin could ever look this clear.

I went to Derick Dermatology for tattoo removal. I have had 2 sessions so far and they both went excellent. Any questions that are asked are answered and i'm in and out in no time.

I've been very satisfied every time I visit this office. Service is exceptional and staff and Dr. Derick are very knowledgeable. They accept Aetna. The decor looks like it was done by Candice Olsen's of HGTV. She removed two moles painlessly during the skin cancer screening visit. I received a prescription for my acne flare-ups and was out the door in no time.

I recently had my first V-Beam treatment at Derick Dermatology. I was very impressed with the polite and knowledgeable staff. They made me feel very comfortable before, during and after the procedure. I used the ice packs they provided after the treatment and had very little swelling the next day. I would highly recommend Dr. Derick to my friends.

It is obvious that Dr Derick is trying to be the best. SHe has one of the nicest, high tech offices that I have ever seen. She was kind, and best of all, she helped me fix my problem.

I thought that the doctor was great. She has a book that shows before and after cosmetic procedures (very interesting to see--not for me, though), but she didn't mention any cosmetic things during our visit. Only stuck to the medical stuff. I liked that. I felt like I was treated super nicely. I was seen 2 minutes after my scheduled appointment--couldn't believe it.

Highly recommend. Impressive educational background -- University of Notre Dame and the University of Chicago
Dr. Derick is an expert. I often see her name in national publications and she is on the board of Women's Derm.
She is up to date on the latest cosmetic procedures and she spares no expense in her office-- everything is state of the art. There are three people working at her front desk so she is patient focused. Also Dr. Derick has diagnosed melanomas in people I know and has saved their lives
