This Dr. was terrible, Dr. Bessent was my primary but Dr. Millard was on call for my delivery. She did not follow my birth plan. She let me tear, requiring 16 stitches, this was my 2nd pregnancy so I knew what to expect. I had requested an episiotomy. Dr. Millard hardly came into the room during my 11 hour labor - I saw her maybe 2x before I delieverd. My daughter was born (CMC) during shift change. Right after delivery Dr. immediately left the room and never returned and so did nurses - leaving me and husband alone with our baby and one thin blanket. After being with us an hour or so (during which time I tried to breast feed) they came and took and kept her for 3 hours because they had to clean her and warm her body temp back up !!!!

I have not used Dr. Mallard for pregnancy (I have no children yet) - I have used her as my OBGYN for the past 5 years. Her bedside manner is not warm & fuzzy. She does not spend much time with the patient - even though I've been going to this office for 5 years, she has no clue who I am.
I am currently in search of a new OBGYN.

At first I found Dr. Millard very professional and knowledgeable, but I did have some complaints. During a Colposcopy procedure to detect cervical cancer, she took a non-emergency phone call from her daughter. I didn't think anything of it at the time because my mind was on the uncomfortableness of the procedure, but it was extremely unprofessional. Also, when the results came back from the colposcopy, she told me I needed a Loop electrosurgical excision procedure and we schedule the time for it. What she failed to simply say was that I had cervical cancer. She avoided saying "You have cervical cancer" and she left me confused and I had to look up what everything meant online. When I looked at the lab results from the colposcopy it said I had cancerous cells. So I was going into major surgery where I was going to be sedated in the hospital's surgical ward...and she hadn't even told me why. I still go to Doctor Millard because I do consider her knowledgeable and intelligent, and I already go to her office and she has performed all my procedures, but she has terrible bedside manner and I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

I don't know for sure, but I've heard wonderful things about the doctor she shares a practice with. Why I would recommend her is that the office and staff itself is the best I've ever experienced.

I wouldn't let this woman deliver my dog's puppies. She is cold harsh judgemental and just plain rude!

Pros: None

Cons: Horrible Experience

.

Dr. Millard delivered all 3 of my children. For my 2nd, I had a rare condition that she calmly explained to me, referred me to thorough follow-up care, and safely delivered me. Although she is not overly conversational, I liked the care I received. I would recommend her.

This Northcross office is very good about not having you wait long to be seen which was important to me as a working mom. And the staff is wonderful!
