This doctor is simply terrible. I went to her office on recommendation and greatly regret it. I have a spinal injury that causes severe nerve pain, and have had migraines since I was young. My pregnancy has made both of these conditions much worse, to the point where most days I have not been able to even get out of bed due to the severity of my migraines. I researched online what medications were safe to take before I took anything, and ended up taking a prescription for vicodin that I had had left over from the last flare up of sciatica. This is a drug that according to the pregnancy specialist I had been seeing (I'm considered high-risk because of pre-existing conditions) as well as anything I could find online or from recommendations from other pregnant mothers, is safe to take. When I brought up this issue with Delma, she recommended I go to rehab for my "drug abuse" (mind you, I was only taking 3-4 vicodin through the course of the day, which is half the "maximum" daily amount and less than the dosage instructions to begin with). I stressed to her that I have chronic debilitating pain and needed some form of pain management so that I wasn't incapacitated for the duration of my pregnancy. She told me to take ibuprofen. According to every other doctor (including my general and my dentist) ibuprofen is ENTIRELY unsafe to take during 3rd trimester, and later into the 3rd trimester, can cause fetal death because it may cause a hold in the baby's heart that blood flows through to close prematurely. This information is easily available through a simple google search. I would stay as far away from this doctor as possible if your intent is to see her for care during your pregnancy. Had it not been for my diligence in researching everything I take during pregnancy and I had listened to her, there's a very good chance that I would not still be carrying my baby girl.

she is no longer at this location. she is at grand street medical and her number is 845-338-1535. She is a great doctor and does not rush you at all. Which is great, except when you are in a hurry and she is running late.
