I will never take my child back to Dr. Bremer. My son had lazy eye and Dr. Bremer insisted that there is no such thing as lazy eye. We also have done OT for 5 years for fine motor skills and Dr. Bremer argues that vision and fine motor skills are not related to one another. He told my son to his face that he did not need to wear his eyeglasses and argued to me as if I was a mother making up my son's conditions. My son has Asperger's and fine motor issues and has had many years of OT focused on his deficient visual skills as they relate to fine motor movement and school work. Dr. Bremer came off as a complete nutcase. I think he knew I was angry and he didn't charge my insurance for the visit, but he did damage to his own integrity by telling my son he did not need to wear his glasses. Incidently, I took him within a month to another eye doctor and his prescription had changed for the worse. Even the man dispensing eyeglasses at Sears Optical said that my son's prescription was pretty severe for a kid his age. Dr. Bremer is a kook.
