I have read the two bad reviews on this site and they left me wondering if we were talking about the same doctor. I have been a patient of Dr. Dornblazer's for more than 15 years and I have never once found him to act remotely as described. Honestly, I can't even imagine it. He has always been thoughtful and respectful and asked good (sometimes tough) questions in a professional way. I'm not sure what happened but I suspect there is more to the story than relayed here.

I have been seeing Dr. Dornblazer for treatment of my ADD symptoms since 2010. He has been the only doctor to accurately diagnose my problem and the patience to work with me on finding the right medication. It has made a HUGE difference in my ability to focus and concentrate at work. Unlike other doctors I have been to, I have never been kept waiting past my appointment time to be seen. On one occasion when I needed to schedule an appointment at the last minute, Dr. Dornblazer cut his lunch short to work me in. In every respect, I have found him knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate.

My comments are very similar to those left by the college student as well as the one above. He was just very mean, disrespectful, and inappropriate. I would not recommend this physician. He makes me feel like garbage, writes me a prescription, and charges me 250$ for a 15 minute session. I would not recommend Dr. Dornblazer! There are better Psychiatrists in Charlotte that are much cheaper!

Unfortunately, I found Dr. Dornblazer's manner to be abrupt, dismissive and at times inappropriate. When I questioned a rate increase, Dr. Dornblazer responded with profanity and contempt. I would not recommend this practitioner

I have seen Dr. Dornblazer for years. It is industry practice to be charged for missed appointments. Why are people surprised when they don't cancel and then get charged. They must be living in la la land and considering the field of practice, a psychiatrist has to have firm, solid boundaries. If someone is ticked about this, they need to hold up a mirror. Dr. Dornblazer thinks outside the box in finding solutions to all areas of mental health and he takes a holistic approach to wellness. He collaborates well with all areas of medicine and considers other root causes such as recommending sleep studies or blood work to rule out physical causes of symptoms. I think only dissatisfied patients make comments, which is too bad. After reading the negative comment from the college kid, it sounds like Dr. Dornblazer's clear, hard boundaries worked . . . . if he is making a 4.0. Sometimes we need a doctor to kick our butts and get us off our pity pot. Sometimes it takes medicine in combination with a little tough love. He is the best and I would recommend him to anyone. He is in high demand and it is hard to get on his calendar if you aren't already a patient . . . . which is a testament to his effectiveness.

Dr. Dornblazer is more of a drug dealer than a Psychiatrist. He uses a condescending tone that makes you feel like he thinks he is higher up than you. He has no idea that his methods can be detrimental to a child with ADD. He scheduled a meeting with my parents and yelled, "SHUTUP!" to me at the top of his lungs in front of me and my parents. I ran out of the room upset and sat in the car. My dad walked out of the room 15 minutes later and was face to face with a 600$ bill. He frequently uses offensive curse words and had very little to no nice things to say about me. In my opinion, he wasn't a very nice person. I was diagnosed with ADD at age 7 and have seen a number of Psychiatrists and Dr. Dornblazer was by far the worst one. When I was suffering from severe depression he told me "it sucks to be you" and "just deal with it". He prescribed me large amounts of stimulant medication, and furthermore convinced me that I need them. My parents were concerned about me one night and Dornblazer came down to talk to them. He drained my account of the last 200$ I had for the semester and had to borrow money for my parents. Dr. Dornblazer than discontinued seeing me because I complained about the charges. I now take no medication, am no longer depressed, have a 4.0 in my first semester in grad school, and see a counselor who accepts me for who I am and doesn't tell me to Shutup in front of my parents. If you want a highly expensive Drug dealer, than Dornblazer is your man. If you want a psychiatrist, than I suggest you look elsewhere. ESPECIALLY if you have ADHD and self-esteem issues.

More about Dornblazer George H Md

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: I believe in compassionate, non-judgmental, interactive treatment in true collaboration with the patients I work with. I provide a safe, empathic, accepting environment to encourage patients to explore themselves, and to nurture one's mind, body, and spirit. I believe medication is best used in conjunction with a process that is building general well being and health. I believe medication should only be used to help a person live and feel better; and that a person should only take medication if she or he knows it is being helpful.
