When it became apparent that I needed IMMEDIATE surgery to remove 3 herniated cervical disks avoid becoming paralyzed from the neck down (after numerous delays by my insurance company and other doctors, including a very highly honored surgeon who chickened out because the surgery that I needed was so intricate), I called every orthopedic surgeon on my health plan, but nobody would even give me a preliminary visit before three weeks. A friend gave me Dr. Bradley's number, and even though my health insurance plan was not one that he accepted, when Dr. Bradley heard how serious my condition was (and after viewing my MRI report which I had faxed to him at 5:00PM on Wednesday) he agreed to see me the next morning. When I arrived at his office, he told me that if I was willing, he would operate on Monday morning, and then again on the following Monday, regardless of whether or not he got paid. He explained that even with the surgery, paralysis was still possible. Before the surgery, I had pretty much lost all feeling in my hands and feet (except for a persistent painful tingling), and my hands were pretty much useless - I couldn't even put my hand in my pocket in under 30 seconds. The surgeries were so successful that I have recovered much more fully that I ever imagined - all feeling and abilities in the hands and feet, and most of the tingling gone. Because of the implanted neck rods, I have slightly limited neck movement, but otherwise, you would never know that anything is wrong with me. Even the stitches on my neck were masterfully made - you cannot tell AT ALL on the front stitches, and the on the back there is the slimmest of healing scars (about 6 inches long). Considering that Dr. Bradley and his assisting partners performed two difficult surgeries, came to visit me afterward, and allowed me office visits for the next year without once charging me, even though the $10,000 that my job pressured the insurance company to pay Dr. Bradley probably didn't even cover the hardware that was installed in my neck - how can I ever forget that? These doctors renewed life for me, my wife, and our young daughter. Add in the cleanliness, timeliness and friendliness of the office - all I can say is that Dr. Bradley and his partners and staff are absolutely the best.
