.

The tactics of the Office can leave you with a bad taste in your mouth, no pun intended.

The kids & I were patients from 1978-1996. (we live in different states now)
The Office goofed the billing, put $385 under my 13 yr olds' name...In 1996, got MY balance, & PD it in full.
8 yrs later, 2004, my daughter goes back & is told SHE owes $385.

So, I had the charges put in MY name, said I'll make pymts when I can.
Had it been right to begin with, it would have been PD in '96.

Now, 2008, I call for an appointment, she hears my name & goes into bill collection mode,
gives me attitude, & doesn?t even want to know why I called. I hung up on her.

I called back, ?let?s start over?.?
?I'm calling to make PYMTarrangements & an appt. for me. I'm out of state, but Dr. Bauer has done all my dental work & I want to see him.?

I was told ?no?, pay the bill IN FULL first, then we will talk. She even told me I should ?find a local dentist.?
I asked her to talk to Dr. Bauer & call me back, or I'll call her.

15 minutes later I had a message saying the office is closing for 10 days & he is too busy to talk to today.
BUT, a few hrs later, 5:40pm, she calls to say ?Dr. Bauer says no appointment until the bill is PD in full, & any visits will be cash only, even though I have insurance!

*she wouldn't check to see if their office accepted my insurance, I had to call myself.
*Odd that he was too busy, but after hours ?supposedly? his words are exactly the same as hers.
*ODD because Dr. Bauer himself told me yrs ago he would always work with me, & he always did.

THE WHOLE PICTURE, $385 is not a lot of money. Most accept $25/mo, at least they are collecting & keeping a patient. I doubt she spoke to Dr. Bauer on my behalf.

Thanks to Dr. Bauer, my teeth are in good shape. WITH no problem at all I can take my business elsewhere.

SO, You are going to love Dr. Bauer, ...just make sure you bring your wallet, to get past the office manager, Barbara!
