Dr Namey is a Godsend. I suffered for 11 years and he was the first one to figure out what was wrong with me. No one else thought to do any of the tests he did. He spent over an hour with me at my first appointment, going over all of my previous records and tests. He took his time and explained everything--answered all of my questions and then some. I researched everything he told me and it all matches up. I'm very pleased with him.

Clearly a fine physician, not only a rheuamtologist, but also a nutrition specialist, sports physician, and published researcher. This man is cutting edge. Believe me-I checked out everything he told me...he even gave me points to check on WebMD and Google. Clearly a straight shooter, which might put someone off, but he is on target.

I was very unhappy with this Dr. I went to hime 2 times and both times I felt he was more interested in himself than in the welfare of the patient. I felt he was rude and arrogant. When you go to the doctor most of the time you are scared and looking for answers. I was very turned off by the way he handled my diagnosis and the treatment of the disease. I changed doctors and am very happy with the change.

First to treat my lupus successfully. (I had seen three doctors, I mean other rheumatolgists in Knoxville and at Vanderbilt). He is very understanding and spends more time with me than my internist explaining what is wrong.

Best diagnotician in Knoxville. Very good skills, much broader than rheumatology. Expertise in metabolism and preventative medicine! Professor of Nutition at UT.
