I'm also a patient of Dr. Ahn. My experience with her has been positive, however, her male physician's assistant, Matt Cobb thinks he knows more about a woman's body than she does. I was in Dr. Ahn's office with symptoms of pneumonia, something that I've had before. My symptoms weren't as severe but knew what would happen if I didn't get on top of the breathing and unproductive cough, breath shortness, chills, fever and listlessness.

Dr. Ahn wasn't available so I saw Matt. He thought I had indigestion (something I've never had before and would know the difference between my lungs and stomach). Matt prescribed a minimal and quite insufficient course of antibiotics and only one (no refill) for albuterol rescue inhalant. When I saw Matt I also complained of a very sore ear canal and reduced hearing. He looked in my ear and said he didn't see anything. I am uninsured and as such pay for everything, including insufficient healthcare and additional time to find another caregiver.

I went to another doctor who agreed my symptoms both breathing and ear problems. I've been successfully treated for pneumonia and swimmers' ear. I don't like giving Dr. Ahn a bad rating for Matt's inability to believe a female patient. I actually went to Dr. Ahn because she's a woman. In the future, when bringing my business to a woman doctor - - I will insist to be seen by her. Matt, while pleasant in demeanor, was noticeably dismissive of the symptoms I presented. I cannot recommend him or Dr.Ahn as a result.

Pros: I'm a woman and prefer to be treated by a woman - hence my referral to Dr.Ahn

Cons: Men PA's or doctors still don't listen to woman about their bodies and health.

I have been seeing Dr. Hanlon since she took over that practice and I've received consistently excellent care. My daughter has seen both Dr. Hanlon and Dr. Ahn and they have never failed to give her caring and personalized attention. These physicians have always taken the time to listen to my daughter or myself, and never has any confidentiality been breached. I would highly recommend any physician associated with Alpine Medical Group.

Dr. Heidi Standheiner was one of the most unpersonable doctors I have ever met. Ahe was also unable to get past her ego long enough to LISTEN to a patient to happens to be intune with her ody and medical needs. A totally unprofessional doctor.

Cons: terrible and unable to listen to a prospective patient

I was a patient of Dr. Yong Hui Ahn's for 180 months and on two separate occasions she discussed my medical history with my husband and not with me. when I questioned her regarding this matter she said she did so for my own well-being. I has been diagnosed with a rare disease ad require close medical attention and also I need a doctor who does not let her ego get in the way of treating her patients. She also told me that I would probably never recover from this disease. As a patient with a disease that has left me unable to lead a completely normal life and has forced me to put off my and my husband's decision to have children until I am in better health or have recovered (witch although I have a rare disease it is forseeable that I can recover completely). Dr Ahn's behavior regarding me as a patient as well as her unethical patient/doctor behavior should make any prospective patient leary of her as a professional.
