No follow up. I was told to call back if I still had an issue and I was put off until the next week. I was finally given an appointment and when I got there they had given me the wrong day and time. Then I was told Dr Silcoff couldn't

Dr. Howard Silcoff is a pathetic loser. He is suppose to be Ithaca's medical examiner, the person who is suppose to explain to family members the results of their loved one's autopsy report. My sister died over 2 months ago. When the results finally came in, I was told by the coroner's office and the Ithaca Dept. of Health that only Dr. Silcoff could explain the autopsy report to me and my family. After the paperwork sat in front of him for 3 days, and after I left messages with his receptionist for 3 days, and after David (at Ithaca's Dept. of Health) and Dr. Silcoff's receptionist told me that Dr. Silcoff would be calling me that first day, I patiently waited for his call. He never called. By day 3, and after me leaving several polite messages with his office, I finally lost my temper with his receptionist. When I called back at the end of the day, I was told that Dr. Silcoff did not want to speak to me because I had gotten upset with his lack of care and professionalism over the past 3 days.
I was then referred back to David (Dept. of Health - Ithaca), who has no medical background whatsoever, and am now left with many unanswered questions and no one to help me and my family. David does not have the authority to discuss such matters, and, once again, the only one to contact is Dr. "I don't give a damn about anyone but myself" Silcoff.
Dr. Silcoff is the most selfish, iunprofessional, uncaring, dispicable doctor that I have ever had to deal with in my life. He should not even be practicing medicine, if this is the way he treats his patients. He is pathetic and a spineless coward, who doesn't return grieving fmilies phone calls. I wonder how he would feel if he were in other people's shoes. If this behavior is any inkling of how is treats his patients, then I would be very wary of him and find another doctor to treat you.
I have read other reviews about him, and they are all negative as well. One patient wrote how he misdiagnosed him, another mentioned how he gave no follow-up care to a diabetic patient, another complaned how he couldn't get his own immunization records recorded, even though he received his immunizations form Dr. Silcoff himself. Others also complained that you wait more than an hour to see him. I guess that's because he is so busy reading all those autopsy reports and calling all of those grieving families!
Dr. Silcoff is a general practioner in Ithaca, NY, as well as the towns medical examiner. I think people in Ithaca are much smarter than he thinks. There are plenty of other doctors in the area who I am sure are better than him and who could provide proper medical care to the residents of Ithaca.
My only question is how does Ithaca get rid of him as the town medical examiner who doesn't do his job. It should be noted that Dr. Silcoff was called from the very begininning, 2 months ago, when my sister passed away, and he referred me and my family to Lourdes Hospital in Binghampton, where her autopsy was performed. Again, Lourdes Hospital's Pathology Dept. then refers you back to Dr. Silcoff.
Dr. Silcoff, if you want to be a medical examiner, then be one. Stop hiding behind your telephone like a complete wimp, and leave all the dirty work for your receptionist. You are a lying coward. Beware of this man with yourself and your loved ones!!! My advice is to shop around. There are plenty of fish in the sea.
