I received the best treatment in regards to being a patient and the procedure. They were kind, caring, and patient. I would recommend others to come here. It was easy and discreet.

I had an abortion in a clinic about 5 years ago and it was a terrible experience. When I found out that I was pregnant again, I was terrified. There was no way I wanted to go through that again. My boyfriend found Early Options online. When we called, they spent a lot of time on the phone answering all my questions and were able to schedule my appointment for the next day. The procedure was not anything like what I had gone through before with the surgical abortion. And the fact that my boyfriend was able to be with me meant so much. I would definitely recommend this doctor's office.

I know that there have mixed reviews regarding Early Options and I wanted to help set the record straight. I went here just last month - a very sad time, but it was the right decision for me. From the moment I arrived the staff was fantastic - warm, supportive, explanatory and extraordinarily caring. The waiting area was very discreet and quiet. The head doctor/medical director who saw me is honestly once of the most caring and calming doctors I've ever worked with. The staff was quick to respond to a concerned call from over the weekend and the doctor called additionally to check in on me after the procedure. Their fee structure was exactly as they stated over the phone - straight forward. I am so thankful I did some research and came upon Early Options. They provided wonderfully supportive medical and emotional care during both of my appointments. I would recommend them to anyone in a similar position.

I went to this place six years ago (in 2006). It was perfect. I read some of the scathing reviews, and quite frankly, one of them sounded more like a disgruntled employee than a patient.

In Nov 2011 a friend found her self in the same situation. I told her about the aspiration procedure. She was rushing so much and insisted on just going to Park Med because of insurance and scheduling issues. It was a disaster on all accounts.

I am using Early Options as the role model.

Park Med had AT LEAST 40 people from all walks of life in the packed waiting room. There was no sense of privacy. The reception desk is just a wide open space so everyone can hear every word you say, including your name and other personal info, Not only did my friend have to sit next to women almost full term, there were also children everywhere. They cover all OB/GYN services which can be challenging for a woman in this situation.

The first visit we waited over four hours just for them to turn her away and reschedule. FOUR HOURS! She left a complete wreck from all of the chaos that unfolds in the waiting room. She also ended up going back two more times (three times in all) just to get the aspiration done.

Early Options rates may be higher but you get what you pay for. If you want an appointment that will be prompt, a staff (ranging from the receptionist, office manager, medical staff and doctor) that is and professional at ALL times, the higher rate it worth it.

During an emotionally charged time in a woman's life, going to place with privacy and peacefulness is extremely important.

You leave feeling like it was the right place to go and the people you dealt with were actual professionals.

I'm an adult, making an adult decision and being treated with dignity and professionalism at Early Options is the way to go.

My experience here was extremely pleasant. For a Abortion Clinic in Brooklyn I most say this is one of the nice ones I have seen. I did my research and called for a week straight. When it came down to my appointment day I was nervous all the way to the front door. Walking in you are greeted by a warm smile and a empty office. They only take people by appointment and they ask that you arrive at the time given not early. This is so the person before has the office to them self. I am a hypochondriac, I asked everything you can think of before I came in. Then sitting there in the office they answer everything, they tell you everything you need and want to know. The office is very private and clean. The hole time the nurse talked to me and I had music playing. My sister was with me, It felt like a regular OB/GYN Visit. If any of my friends or a person comes up to me and asking me if I know a place that can help them in making a decision, This would be the place.

I mean really 150+ fake reviews, I was skeptical but still gave them a chance. The reviews are all scams, this place is a zoo and a joke, dirty and smelled like vinegar.

Don't expect to get anything here but a cold shoulder and blank stares to your questions, like I did!

Our office is private, all care is conducted in private examination rooms, and companions are welcome. Each patient has a dedicated clinical assistant with her the entire time. Each patient meets with the female doctor. The visit is 1-2 hours. Our office provides 24/7 access to an on-call doctor and each patient free of charge can come in for a follow up examination. No patient from our office is ever left feeling concerned about having a problem and feeling they have no way to follow up with us. Patients who choose our office want to be able to leave our office and resume their normal activities without having to have a prolonged time to recover. The women of Early Options enjoy what they do and we would never allow any patient to have anything but a positive, medical experience. We see our patients for follow up anytime they call. The office sees patients from all over the world and no one has ever been made to feel like a piece of meat. It is obvious that this review comes from someone who has never been in our office.
We will never post any comments from patients or post untrue information on another providers website. We would like to thank our patients who have the courage to write honest reviews and support us.

Also, do not believe that the place is a zoo. We see a limited number of patients. No more than 10-12 patients a day. Each patient has a private room. We do not allow people to wait in our waiting room . The office and exam rooms are clean.
We are primary care physicians. We take that attitude in our office. We always answer all questions.

This was my first choice, and I hope no one else is fooled by the hundreds of obviously fake positive reviews.

This place is a joke and I was treated like a slab of meat.

First off for comments about people writing ""fake reviews"" .. i can speak for myself and im sure others, yes, i made a new account to write this as most people want to remain private considering the business-

If you find yourself in the terrible situation of dealing with an unwanted pregnancy - Early Options was a huge relief. Dr. W was very kind, non-judgemental, and explained everything in detail ahead of time. Everything is also VERY private here, i saw no one except the receptionist, nurse and doctor. All were sincerely sweet and caring. The aspiration procedure is pretty uncomfortable , but over before you know it. (under 3 minutes) You'll have access to a 24/7 call line for the dr in case you have any concerns. I don't think any place can completely eliminate the pure sh*tiness of this type of situation, but Early Options comes as close as it could get. You will be treated as if you are just somewhere for a regular gyn appt. Would absolutely recommend to any good friends in need of help.

Early Options truly deserves all the 5 stars they have been getting. I've used them a few times and honestly, they are truly the best.

I can only assume that the negative reviews are about another provider, and a genuine mistake. This is NOT too good to be true. I am amazed. I was just as skeptical as anyone might be; not only did the website offer the ideal experience, the stellar reviews are, let's face it, hard to believe. I have had traditional surgical abortions before in the assembly-line/factory-farm-like atmosphere of Planned Parenthood (in more than one location, so this mode of care is endemic). The scraping in particular is extremely unpleasant, and a major reason why I chose Early Options was because they do not include the traditional scraping of the uterine walls. I decided to take the chance that this was really what the website said it was. I am far from disappointed.

The Manhattan office is closed for renovation as of this writing- is that so terrible? Brooklyn was just as convenient via public transportation (I took Amtrak from three hours outside NYC, and I can see why people fly into town for this service). I was given a prompt appointment.

I did not see another client except for on my way out; another couple was waiting in the very clean, comfortable waiting room. Using a restroom in the hall was no hardship- I did not run into anyone and a hallway restroom is quite usual for an office building.

I was given ample opportunity for questions and concerns both on the phone and when I arrived. One question ahead of time required a call back; I heard from the office within 15 minutes. I was greeted warmly and professionally. I was barely seated in the waiting room before the doctor herself called me in. Again, ample explanations and discussion even though I am a medical professional myself. Caring, calm providers and staff. A good balance of some time alone between procedures (VS, blood test, etc) and attention.

During the actual ultrasound and procedure the doctor was kind and extremely gentle and slow. At one point I was quite uncomfortable and she adjusted something which relieved the pain. Any such procedure involves some discomfort and strong cramping, but it is mitigated by such excellent care and attention. The assistant spoke with me the entire time and was sensitive to my cues, for instance when small talk was no longer appropriate. The entire procedure took only a few moments. A repeat ultrasound confirms the abortion is complete. I was given adequate medications- antibiotics and so on- and given time and privacy to recover.

I was back out of the office one hour and fifteen minutes after arrival. I can't say enough about how positive the experience was. This is never a pleasant procedure, but I wish every abortion could be like this: with the potential for healing instead of a traumatic and demeaning time. Everything, even payment, was conducted in a professional, respectful and private way. I hope this model becomes more widespread, until we in this country recognize elective abortion as part of women's health care that should not be separated from routine OBGYN care.

Believe it! I am a real person, with real children, and this is a real review. I am truly grateful this place exists- not only for me, but for my friends and daughters, should they ever need it.

I went to Early Options after reading all the reviews. I really didn't believe all the high ratings but figured it would be better than a larger clinic.\r
It was just as described. No waiting, private office, nice, informative staff and warm Dr.\r
I had the aspiration procedure. Here is how it went:\r
Gave urine sample, saw Dr. W. who explained procedure, took my medical history and gave me some OTC pain meds. I then saw a PA who took a finger blood test and made sure I didn't have any questions. Right before the procedure I was asked for my payment ($700), I was given after care instructions and antibiotics. The prep & procedure itself took about 15 minutes. The Dr. and assistant made small talk with me while I was preped for the procedure. I did feel the pain injection and that was uncomfortable. I was told exactly what and when I would feel cramping. Yes it did hurt. It felt like bad period cramps, and oddly like my stomach was dropping (like on a ride or elevator). I felt craming about 3 times, the last was the worst but I knew it was the last one. I have been through worse pain such as back pain and ear infections. I was given a heat pack to take home and I was out of there within 5 minutes after it was done. I was there 1 and a half hours total.\r
On the way home I went grocery shopping, I did not really have much bleeding or cramping. The day after I had minor cramping, nothing more than like my usual period. \r
So, for a sad, uncomfortable situation is was as easy as it could possibly be.

I really don't get how this place has gotten so many 5 star reviews... Honestly, I just don't understand. I thought that it was too good to be true and now I know that it is. Are they really written by women that have gone there?

I for one had a horrible experience there. Of course, to go somewhere for an abortion is not the greatest of circumstances to begin with, but had I known what it was going to be like at Early Options, I would have definitely gone somewhere else.

I felt that the staff was less than sensitive to the circumstance. I felt like they just really wanted your payment first and foremost. I didn't really feel like the doctor or nurse really explained anything to me. I feel like the procedure was much more painful than they portrayed it to be. And then, afterward, I felt really rushed out of there.

Ladies, please do your research before you decide to go here, that is my advice.

None of us wants to find ourselves in this position. I know I didn't and I never truly expected to have to pursue this option. I am incredibly thankful that a clinic like this exists and that I could afford to utilize their services.\r
\r
For the record, this is the ONLY review I will ever post under this username and it is associated with a dummy account. As much as I believe in my right to choose, I also believe in my right to privacy and not to have the whole world know my business. Thus, I believe the reason many of these reviews are the only ones by a particular user - I understand why previous women have done exactly what I'm doing.\r
\r
I don't know what the deal with their Manhatten office is. I feel it's kind of shady to list a location that is ""under renovations"" and might not actually exist. That part I wasn't comfortable with, but whatever, maybe it legitimizes them in some way that I can't fathom?\r
\r
Onto what happened for me. First, they answered the phone immediately and the receptionist was late that day so I was speaking directly with a Dr. That eased my mind right away; a place where everyone pitches in and no task is too low for anyone to do.\r
\r
Secondly, they got me in the same day. That's service.\r
\r
The experience was not unpleasant, for what it was, for sure. They bring you immediately back to a private room so there's really no chance you'll see anyone in the waiting room. The office is in a regular office building - there's an elevator and a doorman (whom I am sure knew what I was there for, but was nonetheless polite).\r
\r
In my experience, I dealt with the same nurse the whole time and the Dr. came to speak with me personally before we went too far. They answered all of my questions and were incredibly accommodating. \r
\r
The procedure itself takes only moments and was done with professionalism and tact.\r
\r
Overall, the experience was better than I ever expected it would be. Not that I'll be going back anytime soon, but for having to make this particular choice, this is the place I would choose again. \r
\r
They were friendly, private, clean and IMO safe. The service does not come cheap (they do not accept any insurance except Medicaid), but it was money well spent.

I am a 21-year-old college student and, like many other women, I've always been pro-choice but always told myself, ""If I get ever get pregnant I'll keep the baby, but if another woman wants to have an abortion, that's her choice and I support that."" Also like many other women, I guess I just didn't think it would happen to me. Finding out I was pregnant, though, made me realize that at this point it's just not practical for me to have a baby since I have no steady income and need to finish school.

So when I started doing research, I came across many, many New York City abortion clinics on the Internet, almost all of which seemed pretty mediocre or had contradictory reviews. Many said things like ""I felt like I was just a number"" or ""The nurses seemed like they were feigning friendliness,"" etc along with somewhat positive remarks. This was pretty disconcerting and naturally I assumed that maybe every abortion clinic is just cold and uncaring. I picked one that seemed decent (NOT Early Options - a different clinic) and quickly made an appointment, fearing that all times convenient for me would be booked. After figuring out a date & time that worked best, the first thing the woman on the phone did was ask me how I'd be going to pay. That was it. She didn't ask me the date of my last period or give me any explanation of how the procedure was done.

The next day I kept looking for a better clinic. When I found Early Options, I thought the reviews were too good to be true. When I called to set up an appointment, the woman was very warm and made sure I knew exactly what was going to happen. I was immediately relieved and knew that I had found the right place.

As other reviewers have said, you can't tell it's an abortion clinic from the outside, and they even use a different name on the inside office listing so that protesters have no idea what's there. When I arrived for my appointment (for aspiration), the receptionist was extremely friendly and asked me to give a urine sample. There was no one else in the waiting room, which made the whole thing seem more private and less scary; the last thing I wanted to see was a room full of women who were just as nervous as I was. Next I was directed to an examining room where I waited longer than I would have liked (about 35 minutes), before seeing a nurse who took blood, checked blood pressure, temperature, etc. The nurse was also very friendly and explained everything in full to me and had me sign contracts. Then I met Dr. Washington, who was very warm and explained more in-depth to me. As for the procedure, first they have to verify the length of pregnancy, of course, and they don't even show you the sonogram or make a big deal out of it at all whatsoever. I feel like looking at it would have made me sad. During the aspiration procedure I was covered by a sheet from the waist down so I couldn't see anything actually happening. I also just talked with the nurse and the doctor about unrelated things the entire time. Pain lasted for a total of 3 minutes at the very most during the procedure. It just felt like heavy menstrual cramps. Most important though, is that I didn't see anything, didn't even HEAR anything! I went in there being afraid I'd walk out hearing the noise of a machine for the rest of my life, and now all I will remember is chatting about college and having bad cramps. Following the procedure I had light cramps for about 4 hours, and have been bleeding lightly/spotting since.

I am so, so thankful for Early Options. Everyone in the office was kind, and not once when I was there did I think ""I'm doing something wrong."" I know I made the right choice!

Words cannot account well enough how appreciative I am of this clinic. I follow the classic story of ""I never thought this would happen to me"" and when I found out I was pregnant I called my regular gyno. They wanted to perform a surgical abortion at six weeks- for those who have read extensively about this, you know that would be completely unnecessary. The thought that medical professionals would put a patient through such a risky procedure when there are other options is beyond me and entirely maddening. I won't launch into the specifics of the situation but I can say that I am truly truly thankful that I researched other options that led me here. I want to make this informative for everyone reading it who is in a similar situation, so I'm going to bullet point my experience so you know exactly what you're going to get.

1. The first call: I immediately felt relieved. The woman who spoke to me was extremely professional and understanding. She asked me for some necessary information, explained the procedure, and booked me an appointment in 24 hours. (I must mention I was listening to the administrative person when I was there in the waiting room and I'm so impressed by how good she is- I've been in administrative jobs before and the way she handled the volume of calls and also explained so kindly to each person was very admirable.)
2. I arrived at the clinic and was asked to take a urine sample. Then, I was seated in the waiting room (no one else was in the waiting room, as you are asked to arrive only 15 min early or no later than 15 min after your appointment time for everyone's privacy).
3. The nurse retrieved me after a few minutes and took me into another room to meet the doctor. When I met with the doctor she talked me through the entire procedure and also through the method of birth control I would be using after my visit. She gave me a prescription right there for my new birth control and told me the nurse would be in.
4. The nurse took me to another area where they test your blood type. Her name was Jen. We had a lot in common and she was totally cool to talk to. I felt relaxed and comfortable because she was so kind. After that I was taken to other room where they would perform the procedure.
5. A lot of people mention that you experience cramping and personally I didn't have a lot. It was over in 5 minutes and I talked to Jen through the whole thing. I kept waiting for it to be painful but it never was. It felt similar to having a papsmear- which in my experience has actually been more painful than this!
6. At the end I paid $600 and I was given a form to submit to my insurance (as they do not take insurance) so that it would apply to my deductible. They also gave me detailed instructions for post procedure care.
7. I left thinking that was the easiest experience I could have had. I was walking around and going for a run that same day. It was completely painless except for a bit of cramping here and there, like a normal period. The more active you are the better- so get out there, it makes you feel great!

I am so thankful that I found early options and I would recommend their care, most sincerely, to any woman who is in the same situation.

Went yesterday. Found them on web after making a decision I never before thought was mine to make.I read through their entire website and all the comments here prior to making my appointment. Driving to my appointment I was skeptical as the naysayers had me thinking this place was too good to be true. I decided that I would go but would high tail it out of there at the first sign of anything being amiss. I drove up, the building looked ok from the outside so I parked and walked in. The office was bright, clean, professional, looked like a doctor's office, smelt like a spa, so I sat down. I spoke with the doctor (Dr. W) and the clinician (E), they were superb. They seemed to have everything in order, nothing kitchy or chintzy about the place. So I stayed.\r
\r
People in these industries sometimes get burnt out and become cold-no sign of that here, everyone was warm, welcoming, comforting, understanding. I went to the appointment by myself and was very nervous and tense, both the doctor and the clinician went out of their way to try to ease my mind and make me feel comfortable. Dr. W & E made small talk throughout the appointment in attempt to take my mind off the situation. It didn't work but I appreciated it. I am grateful to have found this place. Everything was as described. The procedure was quick & virtually painless (I didn't even feel the needle which was my biggest fear). I even went to work later on in the day without incident (and I work on my feet). I am experiencing minimal spotting & some cramping (but that goes away as soon as I take their recommended dosage of advil). I am making peace with my decision and I know that finding a place like this that treats you with dignity, respect and without judgment is pivotal to making peace. All the good that has been said here is true and they are deserving of their 5 star ratings. Ignore the naysayers.\r
\r
Cons:\r
\r
Traffic. Parking sucks ( expensive garage is few doors down however $25/2 hours). Two other people in waiting room so not completely private, but wait was quick, under 10 mins\r
\r
Issues brought up before:\r
\r
1. The building is not run down at all. It's a nice, guarded, elevator building.\r
\r
2. The waiting area is similar to the one pictured or perhaps is actually the one pictured. Cozy\r
\r
3. I didn't see any ""medical waste"" outside. They do have lab boxes as is common with medical offices\r
\r
4. The bathroom is outside the office and you do need a key. It is literally steps away from the office door however. I don't like the whole restroom key concept (very germy to me) but the bathroom itself was bright, big and clean. There are only two other offices on the floor. I didn't have to wait for the restroom nor did anyone see me going to or from the bathroom.\r
\r
5. I have never commented on citysearch before and if I ever do in the future I will not be using this screen name so am not surprised if others do the same.\r
\r
6. Someone suggested that the staff is suddenly mean once payment is made. I find it hard to believe. It's not as though payment is taken as soon as you walk in. They don't even take an appointment deposit. Payment wasn't taken till right before the procedure. This was after both the doctor and clinician going over the procedure and answering questions, checking vitals (blood pressure, temperature, iron level), signing consent forms etc...all in all about an hour into the appointment. For those who asked, cost $600 flat.\r
\r
Also I must say, although not to suggest you do this, I missed my first appointment as I was stuck in God awful traffic (they are in a heavily trafficked area) and they were very accomodating. Didn't make a huge deal, just rescheduled me. I anticipated being charged some kind of missed appointment fee, I wasn't.\r
\r
Hope this helps. If nothing else, go in with the mindset that I did. No one is holding you hostage. If you get there and you don't like it leave. I highly doubt that you will though, they really are that great!

This isn't the sort of thing you WISH for, but sometimes things happen. I spoke to my friend and she told me about early options. I got to the office and like B said everyone was very nice. Didn't feel like I was doing something wrong. I was at the office for about an hour 1/2. I felt fine right after. Not that I wish this for anyone, but if you want to go to a place where you will be treated like a person, it's not crowded and you won't be bothered by protestors. Call early options.

I was extremely comfortable when I went to Early Options. There wasn't anyone in the waiting room which made me feel great because the last thing you need is people thinking why your in there and what not. I did not have to wait long at all. The staff was extremelyyyyy nice and friendly to me. The girls spoke to me very politely and I wasnt worried at all. The process went even quicker because a girl was in the room chatting with me the whole time which made me even more relaxed.I would recommend this place to any female out there who loves to be treating well.

I went to Early Options in Manhattan a few years ago and remember having a really easy experience. Which is why when my plan B didn't work last September after an accident I was horrified and really embarassed that this had happened to me, again. I probably wouldn't have made the trek to Brooklyn if I didn't already know what these ladies are like. They really make it as easy as possible and spend a lot of the time just chit chatting, I literally was surprised when the procedure was over. It was a little crampy, but not much worse than an annual. Also, The Brooklyn office wasn't at all hard to get to-and I don't go to Brooklyn. Anyways- I pray I never have to go again, but if I did or had a friend in the same situation I wouldn't let her go anywhere else. Thank you early options, you guys are awesome.

Coming to Early Options was, at first, very nerve racking, but upon arrival the staff was pleasent and warm. They made sure I was feeling well and gave me some pretzels to snack on so that my stomach would settle. The procedure was qucik and virtually painless (just a bit of cramping); it was over in less than 5 minutes. The office is very friendly and cheerful. I felt like I was at a routine doctor's visit. I would certainly recommend them to any of my friends that are facing an unwanted pregnancy.

A few weeks ago, I found out I was pregnant. Needless to say... it wasn't a planned pregnancy. \r
This is definitely, a difficult situation to be in. I began to research my options online. I came across early options, and not having heard of the aspiration procedure before... well I was skeptical. The more I researched, the more I liked the sound of it all. I called to make an appointment and the voice on the other side was very friendly. She answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. When I arrived at the office, I was very relieved to see that there were only women at the office. I was able to have my partner with me throughout the visit. The doctor was very patient, sat down and answered all of my questions. I didn't feel judged and that was very important to me! Thank you for everything.\r

The first thing that spoke to me when I found his place online were the reviews. In the middle of making my appointment, I broke down and began to cry. This person on the other line was genuinely concerned. She made my appointment and made me feel like I wasn't alone. When I came into the office I was greeted with a warm smile. When I gave her my name she told me she had made my appointment and wanted to know how I was feeling. There was no one waiting in the reception area and I was taken inside quickly. When I spoke with the doctor, she listened to all of my questions and concerns. My nurse was very friendly and stood by me the whole time. It did get a bit crampy towards the end of my procedure but I got through everything just fine. These ladies made my difficult situation bearable. Thank you ladies of early options.

I was very skeptical since all of the reviews were highly favorable. I thought.. ""this must be a scam.. or reviewers are staff"". First thing -- For privacy, I created a new citysearch acct just to post this review. so I'm sure many other women did the same.\r
\r
I researched, researched & researched this place, the procedure, everything.. & decided to go in. My partner & I were very scared since we never been in this situation. I didn't know what to expect .. I was greeted by a wonderful staff who outlined the entire procedure. I guess that didn't really provide the comfort. I hear so many horror stories.. so, I figured they were downplaying the entire thing. I mean.. this is suppose to be the worst pain ever. \r
\r
The ENTIRE procedure itself lasts 5 - 10 min. . I honestly lost track of time because we talked about other things to keep my mind off it. The procedure is JUST like a pap smear. Believe them when they say it!!.. I really believe that is the best way to describe it. I felt minimal cramping for the last 3 min. I honestly think the staff makes the symptoms seem worse than they actually are. This is a very easy procedure.. no need to be anxious or nervous. I hope the WHO passes a law that requires apsiration to be the ideal procedure.. It is very easy for the woman.\r
\r
I hope this review helps.. I was very scared & did not trust City Search. The reason I went is because.. all other reviews were bad. I say give it a shot.. I honestly think you will be satisfied.\r
\r
Pros:\r
-The procedure itself - very quick, no surgery, no pain.. I was able to get up just how I get up from a pap smear. \r
-The staff\r
- The privacy of the office - FAR from a meat market and highly secured\r
- The overall experience was awesome\r
- The time in & out. I was there for 45-1hr max\r
\r
Just because I want this to come across real.. The only things that would make it perfect..\r
\r
Cons:\r
-The Price - It was $600 which is a lot more than other places ( However, the procedure makes it WORTH it). You can also file a claim if your insuarance allows\r
\r
-The location - I guess this can be good or bad. but there are other offices on the floor so other people see you walk in.\r

This was not something I ever thought I would do and yet I found myself pregnant and not wanting to be. I thought the only option was the pill or a medical abortion - both of these left me feeling scared and uneasy. I want to have another child - just not yet and I was scared that somehow these options would make that more difficult. I then learned about aspiration - a safe and quick procedure. I met with the doctor and she answered all of the questions I had - which calmed me down a great deal. The procedure took about 5-minute. There was pain toward the end - which felt like strong period cramps and then it was over. My period started and I was no longer pregnant. It was unreal in a way - how easy and quick the whole experience was. Growing up in a family that looked down on abortion - and in a society that often shuns those that make the choice to end a pregnancy - is difficult. I have not spoken with many people about the whole experience - it feels personal and private. The doctors and staff at the clinic were respectful of my choice - they made me feel safe and cared for. They understood it was a difficult choice for me - I understand that this is not the case for everyone, but for me it was. If ever you find yourself in this situation I would highly recommend that you call and speak to someone at Early Options. They will answer all your questions and they will work with you in a thoughtful and caring manner.

I was faced with a difficult situation (one which thousands of woman face every day, no one is alone in this) about one week ago. The real decision was where to have the procedure done. I searched for hours online as I was being particularly careful to make sure that I would not have the same experience a few of my friends had. After reading extensively online, I decided to call Early Option.

My phone call to Early Option set the tone for the entire experience. I was nervous, uncomfortable and embarrassed, and they turned it quickly around. With their professional manners and discreet attitude, I knew I made the right choice.

Entering the clinic 3 days later affirmed my intuition - I made the right decision. Being in an environment with only woman so much, not only were they incredibly kind and nurturing, but were patient in answering all of my questions and stayed with me during my entire 1 1/2 visit. I never felt alone, it was truly an incredibly warm, reassuring and genuine environment I will never forget.

I truly believe in the boutique services that Early Option offers, they and made the experience one which should be an option all woman have.

Thank you again Early Option, I can't express my gratitude enough.

A few hours ago I underwent an aspiration. I've had two abortions in the past, and this experience was 100% different. I'm enormously impressed by the staff, the nurse, the procedure that's put in place. From the receptionist, to the nurse, to the doctor, I encountered an incredibly warm, professional, caring, supportive team.

Previously, my experience has been to sit in a ghettoized clinic full of young women, the wait for an eternal, painful procedure. Undergoing hours of humiliation in my little robe.

This time, I found a completely supportive staff, in an ultra private clinic, where the doctors don't treat you like you are in an assembly line. They dedicated two hours to me, explained everything in detail, were totally respectful, and caring. I can't rave enough. I hope every woman facing this difficult decision stumbles upon this kind of care. The doctors and nurses of Early Options deserve special recognition for the work they do.

If you want to terminate your pregnancy. Don't hesitate for a moment. This is the place for you.

First I should say that I used to work at an abortion office in another state. We saw 60+ patients daily, the waiting room was huge and the staff was always overworked and exhausted.\r
\r
This was completely different. Early Options was such a breath of fresh air!!! I couldn't believe the waiting room was so small, I was the only person there, and the rest of my 1 hr 15min appointment was spent in a private room with the same nurse attending to me at every juncture. She was also with me through the aspiration!! We just talked normally through the whole procedure -- I was convinced a mountain of cramps were going to descend on me, but they never did. I left feeling completely like myself. What was so amazing about this, on a personal level, was that my mind could be with the emotional recovery afterward, rather than physical. It made a world of difference. \r
\r
People always like to address wait-time in their reviews and all I can say is that there is no comparison with any other place that exists for this service (or any medical service?). I've waited 3 times as long to be seen at a dentist's office and never had such a personal, personable kind of care at ANY other doctor's office. The office is very clean, professional, and has a nice lemony smell in every room. I felt very comfortable and safe from beginning to end.\r

I was nervous because I noticed all the good reviews and thought they were fake. I was desperate and went anyway. \r
\r
This place really does what it promises. I love the option of getting this taken care of quickly. I was done in about 2 hours. The procedure was a bit painful for a couple of minutes but when it was done, it was done. \r
\r
I didn't wait in the waiting room for more more than 5 minutes. I had a 10 am appointment. When I walked out at noon I noticed it had become much more crowded. I would suggest going as early as possible.\r
Most of the time spent there is discussing your options and future plans for birth control. They will give you a script for BC too.\r
\r
The actual procedure only takes about 5 minutes. After I felt dizzy for 10 mins but quickly recovered and walked out. I didn't have any sort of pain for the rest of the day.\r
\r
Some things that might bother a patient is they measure and inspect the ""embryo"" with you in the room. I could see that really upsetting someone. Next is the place is a bit run down. It could use a face lift. \r
Lastly, Dr Washington comes off a bit weird at first. She doesn't do a great job at explaining some things. Thank GOD her staff answered all my questions. Once she gets to it, she is an awesome professional and knows what she is doing. \r
\r
Parking is a pain. There are one hour meters and an expensive lot.

I dont know if you can categorize an abortion as a wonderful experience, but I would definitely categorize this as one I will have no regrets over. The office was clean and private. I have had one other abortion and I was treated nicely but I was in a room with like 7 other girls and then I changed rooms 4 times. THIS IS DIFFERENT. Your nurse that greets you stays with YOU the whole time, and the Dr. comes in to speak with you individually and allows you to ask questions. This all happens in a regular exam room and you don't share this room with anyone else...its private. \r
\r
Im 37 years old and I wanted to make sure I chose a place where I would feel comfortable and would be judged. I felt completely safe and was received very well by all the staff i encountered, from the first time I called until the moment I left. \r
\r
I also left with a prescription for birth control, which is very helpful and means I dont have to go to my GYN right away to get it. They really do CARE for their patients here, and you can feel it with each conversation. The building is discreet and no one on the outside knows what you are coming in for.\r
\r
If I ever have to find myself in this position again, which hopefully I wont, I will definitely return here. Its a little more expensive than other options but I would pay that twice over for the care I received....its well worth the SMALL difference.

I was nervous out of my mind!!! I was alone! and unsure! The doctor and staff were great, they went over the procedure and its ""maybe"" after effects which allowed me to feel more at ease about my decision. While the procedure took place we conversed on my career choices and they made me feel soooooo comfortable I didnt even know when they began the procedure. If your contemplating having an abortion, definately go with the aspiration method at Early Options! Its safe. Easy. and very fast. I honestly recommend this to anyone!!

I had the aspiration procedure recently. I have had a ""medical"" abortion in the past and I have found the aspiration procedure to be superior by far. Aspiration is nearly painless, fast and effective. The staff at Early Options is AMAZING, as are the doctors. I am extreemly pleased and would recomend this procedure, and Early Options to anyone I cared about. I cannot thank the staff enough for the wonderful care they provided.

So, I'm not the kind of girl that would sit here and write about such a thing like an abortion, but.....\r
This has been a very trying period in my life, everything seems to be going wrong and on top of everything else...wouldn't you know... I'm pregnant!\r
My friend told me about this (her words) amazing place.\r
Anyway, I call make an appt. The girl that answered the phone was really nice. She answered all my questions and was very helpful. \r
I get to the office and there wasn't anyone outside protesting which was a relief! The office wasn't crowded, and all the women were just wonderful. They didn't make me feel like I was doing anything wrong! They just made me feel comfortable. This may sound crazy but I got a hug from my nurse at the end of my visit! Like I said before, it's not the type of thing I would regularly write about...\r
If this helps anyone out there who's in the same position I was in.. \r
Someone who's just looking to get a procedure done without any judgment... then come to this office..

I've never written a Citysearch review (I write for a living, so in my downtime, I tend to skip it!) but I was compelled to after my experience at Early Options.

I couldn't have found out I was pregnant at a worst time. My mom is sick, my job is stressing me out, and the guy in the situation announced the day that I found out I was pregnant that he was still in love with his ex-girlfriend. I've always been pro-choice, and while I did consider my options for a few days, I just knew that there was no place in my life for a pregnancy. It wasn't an easy decision, but when I came to it, I asked my gyno (who I trust implicitly and who is the coolest, most nonjudgmental person ever) for a recommendation and she hands down recommend Early Options. I felt relieved as soon as I called and made the appointmentthey were friendly and knowledgeable and answered my questions on the phone, which was a huge difference from the other clinics I called before I called my gyno.

The appointment: First off, they offer you tea or a snack when you come in! The nurse practitioner who took my blood pressure and discussed the procedure with me was amazingly kind and knowledgeable and so nice that I seriously want to be her when I grow up. The doctor was the samenot condescending, smart, friendly, etc. It just made me SO THANKFUL there are cool and not-patronizing women working in the field who help us exercise our legal rights in a safe and friendly manner.

The procedure itself was easy. Like the website says, less than ten minutes and just some bad cramping. And they talk to you the whole time, so you don't feel like you're just a number or a patient. They let you take as long as you need in the room to recover (although, seriously, you're fine in 10 minutes) and then it was over.

And all I can say is I felt so much relief. I loved that the clinic is in a nondescript building, that there are no protesters or, even worse, escorts (I know they're there to do good, but the last thing I wanted heading to my appointment was some well-meaning college student trying to help me through my ""journey), that the staff is all women, that they're so friendly and really care about you, and that they explain exactly what they're doing. It was exactly what I needed for the difficult decisionand I have to admit, even during the procedure, I found myself crying a bit, more because I'm worried about my mom and what she's going through right now and feel SO OVERWHELMEDand they talked me through all of it. Better than therapy and I would definitely recommend any friends who find themselves in the same situation check out early options.

for what it's worth, if you are faced with having to make this choice, this place makes it a painless as such an experience can be. the staff takes the time to make sure all of your needs are met. there are no judgments, the staff is professional, courteous and concise. they give you all the information up front, and answer any questions you might have. i came here after a lot of research, and if any of my friends were in the same predicament i wouldn't hesitate to send them here. the staff never rushes you, but the procedure itself is fairly quick, you spend more time discussing what will happen and what you should expect. afterward you really do start to feel normal again almost immediately. the discomfort is minimal and the entire process is efficient and uncomplicated.

Well, an abortion is something that no one really wants to go through. I called the office made the app. Once I got to the office I was just so surprised. These ladies were all so nice to me, I really felt like I was amongst friends. I didn't feel judged at all! If anyone has to have an abortion, I really would recommend this place.

I was very curious about whether or not the reviews on Early Options were in fact written by staff members. After a visit to EO today, I can say that they are probably written by real women who have had real experiences. Just like me.

The staff was extremely helpful and calming. They seem to be very comfortable with their procedures, and therefore instill the utmost confidence.

I was lucky and even though I had NO SYMPTOMS, I caught my pregnancy very early (using the iperiod app for iphone, I realized right away that I was late). The doctor did an ultrasound to be sure that I was even far enough along, and determined that this was about as early as they could even do anything, but since it was so early, it would be rather straight forward and simple.

I travel for a living, and so I only had a limited amount of time to complete my procedure. The doctor and I determined that I would be best to have the aspiration procedure rather than the pill, since I would not be available for a followup for many weeks. Also with my situation in mind, they stocked me with a sealed envelope of travel meds just incase I ran into any issues while I was on the road.

The doctor recommended birth control methods that might work for me based on my rather long cycle, and wrote me a prescription for the method I decided to try. There was never any judgement or negativity projected towards me by anyone in the office. The assistant talked me through everything I needed to know and answered my many questions that I had been mulling over for the past 2 days.

The only complaint that I can make is that the rooms aren't exactly sound proof and you can hear the women moaning as they are having procedures done... it can freak you out if you let it. I said to the assistant, ""The girl next door did not enjoy that."" She reassured me that my procedure was going to be much simpler than the one in the room next to me, and not to worry.

The procedure itself was no picnic, but I hadn't really expected it to be... It is definitely not a comfortable situation, but the doctor explained everything before it happened and the assistant held my hand and reminded me to breathe. They did have a heat pad which helped a lot. I also found it amusing that they did have the lollipops that everyone had referred to in their posts. The numbing of the cervix and the insertion of the cannula were probably the most uncomfortable parts, but they felt a lot like getting novicane at the dentist (a prick and some pressure). The aspiration itself is an odd sensation, and not something I'd like to do every monday, but definitely not too terribly awful compared to the alternatives of D&C or child birth. The best part was that the entire procedure was over in literally 2 minutes, 30 seconds. They did another ultrasound to make sure that I was no longer pregnant.

They allowed me to take my time to recoup. After about 15 minutes I felt comfortable enough to get up and get dressed.

After a total of 2 hours (and the doctor seemed very concerned that she was running so far behind) I left EO feeling like I made the best decision for myself choosing the aspiration procedure with these doctors. I felt completely fine to run errands, take a class, and see 2 shows. I had minimal bleeding afterwards (less than a full pad all day) and minor cramps that were not even as intense as my period cramps. The most painful thing I even noticed all day was the prick in my finger where they took blood to get my blood type before the procedure.

I am so grateful to the doctors and staff at Early Options. If you are lucky enough to catch your pregnancy early, and are sure that you would like to terminate, EO is a great choice for that choice.

Pros: Great Staff, Clean, Private, Individual care.

Cons: The procedure is not exactly fun. Costly, but worth it.

The expirience I had at this office was so amazing as soon as I walked into the door I was greeted with a smile and offered cookies and granola bars where else does this happen? No where! After waiting no more than 5 minutes I was brought inside and the physicians assistant was so nice, so caring she made me feel so comfortable and to make the long story short this office really is trying to make a difference in the way u handle an abortion they coach you through the whole process. Hands down this office and its entire FEMALE staff have won my heart and I give them 10 stars. If you are concidering early options don't think twice this is the place to go they are the best at what they do I promise.

I live in Boston and there I went to planned parenthood and was rejected because I have asthma, and boston medical center wanted to charge 4000 for the procedure. Then I did a google search and found this place. I was so very scared I had no idea how I would get through an abortion. When I went in the nurses were very reasuring and caring. The doctor and nurse during the procedure talked me through everything. I feel so relieved and happy and am looking forward to continuing my life. Thank you for everything. This was a positive experience and made me feel that I can take charge of my situation. I would recommend this place over and over again. A million thank yous.

Nobody wants to be in this situation, but if you've made the difficult decision to terminate, Early Options is the place to go. The staff is compassionate, intelligent, and very fast. My partner and I were in and out in less than 2 hours and the procedure itself lasted about 5 minutes. The sensation is very much like intense menstrual cramping. It wasn't comfortable, but it definitely wasn't painful. My partner was able to stay with me throughout the entire process and the staff was happy to answer all of my questions and offer birth control samples/renew my prescription (a lapsed prescription is what got me in this predicament in the first place). I had the procedure this morning and within minutes I felt 100% like my old self. I can't recommend EO enough--this was the right decision for me and I feel like I have my life back.

Thank you Early Options for making this experience less traumatic. I was so afraid but since I entered the door, they welcomed me with professionalism and warmth. Very private, all women employees. They explain everything and let you ask all the questions you may have and give you great answers. Practical and approachable. I did the aspiration and it was not so uncomfortable. They allow you to recover. I recommend this place highly. Remember it is your body and it is your choice.
