same thing happened to me! he went in to replace some of my old fillings and told me that the cavity was to close to the nerve and he would need to do a root canal. i had already paid him 88 dollars to do all 4 fillings but since he suggest a root canal he just put a temp as a filling in the one he opened and didnt do the others. he said the 88 would be credit for the root canal. i went to get a second opinion and the dentist told me that there is no reason to do it all i needed was a new FILLING! my tooth doesn't even hurt! anyways i go to get my money back and x rays transferred...i called first and the assistant/secretary(yeah only 2 people work there including the dentist) said to come up there. when i get there she asks me 3 times why im leaving, then tells me she does not know how to give me my money back on the machine! so i go back the next day when the dentist is available and he decides to charge me now for the temp filling which is 126 cause its not covered by insurance. and a reg filling would have only been 22! he is scandalous! he robbed me of my money and thankfully i got a second opinion or he would have robbed me of my teeth! not to mention he his way behind on technology all of his files are behind his desk on a shelf not in a computer and they do have a computer but they said they couldn't even email my x rays to the new dentist. guessing they don't have a scanner. if hes been practicing for 20 years why doesn't he have more staff and better equipment by now? probably because he's no good!
