.

I had a horrible experience with this Dr. I have been happy with Valley Women for Women on every other occasion. I do not think this Dr. should cause anyone not to go there, just be aware.

I was scheduled for my 36 week apt. I had never met this Dr before. I had an U/S 2 days before and my baby had finally turned, he had been breeched up til this point. I was excited to discuss a natural delivery for the 1st time. Along with having my 1st V check and strep test.

I had been waiting without clothes on for a long time, feeling very uncomfortable. When the Dr. came in she said "I need you to sit down please" and she was very short and rude. I told her i was sorry, but I was very uncomfortable sitting for so long. The she said we need to discuss you due date. I thought maybe something had changed due to the u/s results so I said ok. She then proceded to tell me it is her biggest pet peeve when someone changes due dates in the middle of their preganancy. I didn't understand what she was telling me, I didn't change my due date, it was changed in Oct becasue of an u/s. I asked her to please give me a medical reason for the change and did not. She kept telling me she was a stickler about due dates and it was her pet peeve. I explained to her that I needed a better reason than that for my job and fmla. They would not accept that as a reason for the change. I also told her I understand no one can predict an exact date, but I had to give my work the closest date possible. I also expressed my concern regarding the fact that no other Dr's for the past 4 months saw anything wrong with my due date. She did not ask my how I had been doing, she didn't tell me any info about my u/s, she did not ask me if I had felt the baby move, her priority was my file not me. She never checked me or do the strep test. I had my clothes off for no reason. She left by saying you can argue your point with someone else and sorry if I ruined your day.

I did make a formal complaint and the office manager was more than apologetic and accomidating. I was scene the next day for a 2nd opinion and I am happy with how Valley Women for Women handled my situation.
