Dr. Torres has been my mother's GP for a number of years. Of all her doctors, she is the least responsive. In addition, her office staff is rather cold and uncooperative. It doesn't matter what we call about, they insist that my elderly mother has to be seen. Perhaps that is because Dr. Torres is so reluctant to return phone calls. Dr. Torres has created a culture within her practice that is clinical and procedural rather than caring and practical.

I tried making Elizabeth Torres my family doctor for a period of nearly a year, and as much as I wanted it to work out, I finally felt forced to make a switch. During much of that year, she seemed preoccupied much of the time, and I often felt that she would have written nearly any prescription I might have asked for. The real problem that drove us away was when my husband had sudden onset of an abdominal hernia and her office said they had no one to see him for 2 weeks because everyone else was on vacation and Dr Torres was booked. They offered no solution! Another doctor saw us right away, and he had surgery.
