.

Dr. Mueller was recommended by my pediatrician for my daughter (2). There was crying, vomiting...it was your basic nightmare. She was a normally fearless child, with very little attachment issues, but she was nervous of the cleaning. After MINIMAL resistance she was spirited away to a "private" room and she became a hysterical, which was VERY unusual for her. The assistant held her down and dr. mueller cleaned her teeth. While this was happening, she became so afraid that she vomited. She said, Mom, I'm going to throw up...and then she did. Dr. Mueller would NOT let her sit up, and then continued to hold her down and suctioned out her mouth. Then I was asked to leave the room. She came out and told me I needed to coddle her less, and that the next time would be easier.

The next visit she needed x-rays...stressed again. She wanted to see and hold the film before the put it in her mouth. Dr. Mueller said no. I asked her if I could hold it and show it to her and she told me that I needed to get a bit of backbone with her, that I was the adult and that what I say should go. I didn't need any of her advice and found her attitude TOTALLY unnecessary. She's a peds dentist, right???

Her care was marginal, and I didn't like the Doctor's unsolicited, UNWARRANTED parenting advice.

We now go to a regular dentist, and my she and my son (now 6) LOVE to go. They have no anxiety, and my daughter, years later remembers how scared she felt, how mean Dr. Mueller was, how hard she held her own and the nasty taste of the gloves and barf in her mouth.

Find a different dentist, or get some friends/family advice before going to her. PLUS, she's $$$$, and it isn't worth it, clearly!
