I have been going to this doctor??s office for over a year now. I will not continue to go. I am so disappointed. The last time I visited Dr. Harmon I came home in tears. I waited months to get an appointment with her to talk about fertility issues I have been having. Last year I went in for advice and she recommended a ton of labs and an ultra sound. I dutifully scheduled the appointments and labs over the year. They found that I had hypothyroidism. I was grateful to her for that. After taking the pills, I feel much better.
I finally met with Dr. Harmon again after months of waiting, and she knew NOTHING about me. She did not have my lab results or my family history! I had to tell her everything and fill out the information I had already filled out with the office with her. She then asked me if I had any other concerns. I said my weight. At 5??6? I am 160 pounds which is not unusual for a hypothyroid, but big for me. She said maybe that was the reason I wasn??t getting pregnant and tried to sell me on their diet plan. I left in tears! She talked more about herself and the diet plan that she was on, than any of my concerns. She didn??t know me or my history at all!
She then said to schedule an appointment to see if I had diabetes. After all the tests we have already taken and were still paying for that came back normal, I declined to do so. Instead I set an appointment to have my thyroid checked again in order to continue my daily thyroid medication. I went in for a ths test for my continued thyroid medication and I later found out they administered a glucose test instead when I called to refill my prescription. The lab tech was really rude and informed me she would do it once, but would not do it again until I had my ths tested, like I was trying to scam her! I was so confused. I called the clinic over the course of 2 weeks trying to find out what had happened. Finally, I was informed that my glucose had been tested and not my ths. I called to tell them how unacceptable this was, and although the receptionist was kind and understanding, the doctors and lab techs were not. I have to take a pill daily. They simply said to schedule the test again, but would not offer a refund, or an apology. Glucose??? Seriously? Unbelievable!
