This physician is highly popular with my previous collegues at USF College of Nursing and my personal nurse practioner. Unfortunately, my practitioner and I found that when it comes to patient care he arrogantly stands behind wrong diagnosis; dismissing patient's signs and symptoms that do not fit into initial diagnosis. (Good working relationships do not equal quality patient care.)

Highlights: I came seeking 2nd opinion prior to surgery for pain, heavy bleeding and severe anemia. Long story short he believed that endometrial hyperplasia (a thickening in the uterine lining) and suggested an endometrial ablation, which I had. The procedure did decrease my bleeding, however I was still bleeding heavy. He did not seem bothered that I was still bleeding heavy. I trusted him and went home. After 6 months or so, I went back to my nurse practioner who did a blood count and I was still severly anemic. Additionally, my iron was dangerously low. (Doc told me that I did not need to continue the upscaled iron supplements.)

Anemic and still dealing with pain and bleeding, I went back and was reassured that another endometrial ablation would help. I agreed and had the second procedure. Two months later I returned; I was still having periods and in some pretty serious pain that was not like my previous pain. This time he decided that my problem was GI issues, sent me to a GI with a 3 month wait list and left hanging in pain.

I finally returned to my primary care nurse practitioner, who got me an appointment with a new gyn. By the time I got in, I was now in my 3rd week of pain. New gyn, Anna Parsons,MD, diagnosed me with a post surgery uterine INFECTION. A simple shot of penicillin and a script took away my pain away in less than 48 hours. The next visit, I was finally diagnosed with adenomyosis. The root cause of my ongoing pain and bleeding. I had to wait two months for my blood counts to come up before I could have surgery. The laproscopic hysterectomy cured my adenomyosis as well as discovered and removed endometriosis lesions.

The first time I saw Dr. Cazes for my yearly exam, I waited a long time to start the appointment. The exam was very quick, he tried to make jokes during it (I guess to put people at ease?), but I thought he came off as more unprofessional.

I had a pap test come back irregular and they scheduled me for a colposcopy. Neither he nor the staff talked to me about the procedure, what to expect or why they were doing it, and they gave me the wrong day first and I took off work to get there when they were closed.

When I came for the colpo, he was behind the desk joking around and playing with the tv, which came across as pretty unprofessional. During the procedure, Dr. Cazes allowed a med student/intern to observe without asking whether I consented to it, and I didn't say anything because I was already nervous and felt really awkward in there.

During the colpo, he talked to the intern the whole time, not to me, about what they were seeing. He took two samples for biopsy but said that he didn't expect anything to come back that would require further treatment.

The worst part was after the procedure. I am not sure if anything was done wrong, but I was really, really bleeding - everywhere. He said at one point to the nurse he had 'made a mess.' They left the room without giving me anything to clean up at all or a pad to wear on my way out or anything. I was uncomfortable and miserable and left in a rush.

I was going to stay with him through this if any negative results came back so I wouldn't have to repeat it all over, but at this point I would rather just go to someone, anyone, else.

I would really advised against anyone considering him as a doctor.

Cazes is a petty and arrogant man. Don't go to his office; you will regret it. His staff is unbelievably rude, particularly his office manager. Every time my wife and I left, we just felt a little degraded for having gone there.

Cazes never performed the services he promised to perform, even after my protests, effectively stealing from a pregnant woman. Disgusting, arrogant, and petty.

this doctor is the worst. i always had to to re do my appointment because the doctor was never there, he never seemed to care about my questions like he was always blowing them off with short answers. then the worst thing happen when i was 36 wks pregnant i didn't feel my baby move so i called the doctor for advice on what i should do they told me to lay on my left side and drink apple juice like they weren't even concerned that the baby wasn't even moving. so my mom convinced me to go to the hospital to check out everything and it turns out i had to deliver a still born baby which is already heart breaking let alone the doctor had no bed side manners and all he had to say to me is we'll make sure it doesn't happen next time as if i would go back to him. and if you go to his office you'll see he's all about the money. save your self and your baby don't go to him.

About 9 years ago Dr. Cazes performed a tubal ligation on me due to my not wanting any more children and not being hormonally able to take birth control pills.

Despite existing failure rates, Dr. Cazes assured me that with his method of performing the TL, I would never become pregnant again.

Very recently, upon discovering that I am pregnant again (In Utero) and amidst the associated agonizing choice that I now face, I contacted Dr. Cazes?? office to seek some sort of remedy for the situation. In addition to being completely indifferent to the circumstances, I was told by said doctor??s wife that ??at your age you might just abort the baby naturally? and that this type of result was somewhat common for women at my stage of maturity.

While I had not brought up the subject of a possible lawsuit myself during our conversation, she began to tell me about how frivolous litigation often fails in court and that their office ??welcomes? legal action against them. If one were to count the number of civil actions against Cazes registered with the Hillsborough County Clerk??s office ending in dismissal by settlement, one might easily deduce that they do indeed invite litigation regularly.

Thankfully, an independent, third party has indicated to me that several aspects of my experience with Cazes are actionable.

About 5 years ago, the office was very friendly and the physician was willing to spend time with patients and cared about them. Today, the staff in the newer location is horrible. I experience multiple miscarriages and the third time I came in to follow up, the staff member at the front desk commented to me, "Oh, you must think you had another miscarriage, have a seat, it will be a while." Needless to say, after my appointment, I never went back. And, she is still there. I work in the medical field and that was VERY poor ettiquette and I'm not afraid to tell people my experience so they don't have to deal with that. Five years ago, I loved it. Now, NEVER.

Staff is rude and not professional.. Doctor cares only for the money and not for the patient... He would recommend treatments to the patient for his convenience not caring if it will harm the patient or not.
Definitely not recommended!
