One pediatrician to avoid at all cost. We had an early signs that she wasn't the right doctor for us. Advices she was giving just didn't seem right, so my just didn't trust her judgment and was always double checking online. She misdiagnosed us one, and than we went for a second opinion, and thankfully it was just a fever. Another doctor's reaction was "Who told you that? Well it was Dr. Puntillo. We we scheduled for shots for our 19 month old baby girl and at that points were were already set of changing the primary doktor. They refused to accept us on the basis that the office was closing at 4 and were were 15min late, so we had to reschedule. Second time we got stuck in light traffic, it was 2pm, office were completely empty with no patients in the waiting room and office assistant went to ask Dr. Puntillo and she still refused to administer shots. My wife was in tears from such treatment and apparently nobody in the office cared. Not sure what her problem is but she seems moody at times, unwelcoming, turns around when you greet her, spends minimum time examining the baby, less than 10 minutes on average and walks out leaving some documentation. We only liked going there because the nurses were extra nice. If you ask me I get a better communication from car mechanics, than this Doctor.

First sense you get is she either generally uncaring person or we were subjected to such treatment since both of us are from Eastern Europe. Ok I get it, not all people like immigrants although we are working professionals, but what does it have to do with a 19 year old child?. I'm not most punctual person in the world, and most time when I'm late for doctor appointment I just ask to sit an wait for maybe half an hour. First time I faced such treatment was in Dr. Puntillo's office and it's just shocking to me that they neglected a small child twice in a row. If the baby needs a shot, just go do it, the whole situation just made me fee like I'm in a third world country. Empty office, with no patients, mother is crying, I can barely get time off from my super busy work schedule since I'm the only working person in the household, and they were just sitting there with stone cold stoned faces playing solitaire...

Thankfully our storie has a happy ending. We found much nicer doktor, a sweet lady who spent a whole hour examining our daughter! She was nice and our daughter loved instantly loved her, no more excessive crying upon seing Dr. Puntillo. And lastly you just can't ignore how Dr. Puntillo handles babies. When our daughter was 6 month, she just took her pretty rough and put on the table. Of course maybe it's her confidence with years of experience, but we started with my wife at each other like can't she be more gentle? As brand new parents we didn't know whether it was normal or not, but judging how gentle the nurse was with our baby girl, it doesn't take a specialist to conclude that her ways are a bit too rough. You could see it all for yourself, but please also don't forget to visit another pediatrician to see the difference!
