.

Completely frustrated and disappointed in the crass lack of professionalism, follow-up and care received by Dr. Goldstein and his near witless staff.

I was referred here by my gastroenterologist for two breath tests to measure lactose intolerance and lower GI, both tests are 3 hours each. On my visit, the test was over 3.5 hours; the assistant conducting my test seemed to have forgotten to call me back on at least one 15 minute interval. (They take measurements every 15 minutes for 3 hours).

I never once saw Dr. Goldstein; Not that he should have been conducting the test, but most people would expect for the medical professional to at least say "hello" and make an initial appearance to explain what his staff is doing to you. No such luck.

Little did I know that on the paperwork I brought-in from my doctor, there were two tests I was to take; the office staff failed to inform me of this and schedule. As the notes were written in medical'ese by my doctor, I had no way of knowing there were two tests needed as part of this set of testing. In the meantime, I had moved from less than one block from Dr. Goldstein's office to Westchester, so you can imagine my frustration at having found out I would need to go back in for yet another test. The office staff claimed they attempted to call and inform me of their mistake in letting me know but didn't leave a message. How odd. Nope, no calls from them, ever. Someone dropped the ball.

This practice appears to see the people who walk through the door as pieces of flesh, there only to give them money. The desk staff was chattering away most of the time, debating on from where they would order lunch and gossiping. I was never checked-on or engaged during my visit, only called back from time to time to blow into a tube.

Staff is unprofessional, seemingly uncaring and are apparently a reflection of the service level their boss advocates. That alone is enough to give you a stomach ache and avoid this medical practice.
