Dr. Collins has been my OB for 5+ years. Shes wonderful. Unlike most Doctors ahse remembers everything u ever tell her she even remembers my sons names. I had to have sections w both of my sons and will be having one with my 3rd due in 2 weeks. She has never been rude or shrugged off anything I have had a concern about and if she did I would def. have had a 2nd opinion. Everytime I have thought I was leaking water she has tested me no questions asked. I have even asked for multiple sonograms which I have gotten.

VERY WONDERFUL DOCTOR!

My experience with Dr. Collins was to be blunt"tramatic"!!
I understand everyone makes mistakes and a DR. is only human.
However the treatment I received toward the end of my pregnancy and during my delivery was "unbelievable" it still bothers me to this day and makes me think twice about having another child.
Dr collins continuously dismissed the fact that I had been telling her numberous times during the last 2 months of my pregnancy that I thought I was loosing fluids at night in bed , during my appts I would explain this to her again and ask for a ultra sound because in prenatal classes they explained to do so to prevent infections and danger to the baby and myself.
Dr collins refused to do an ultrasound and said"if i were loosing fluid at night i would in the day too"
Many red flags came about during the pregnancy and I shoulda followed my instincts and found another doctor.
However long story short- During labor they found that I had NO amniotic fluid and was having a dry birth-dr collins asked me when i had lost my water- i told her i had never lost it-it had been leaking at night for a month at very least- she gave me anabiotics through my iv and acted like i didnt know what i was talking about- the birth she was nasty , yelled at me many times, and even smacked me across my rear with it up in the air trying to push , yelling for me to "listen or she was leaving the room and I could do this on my own" I had SEVERE problems breathing- i couldnt breath at all and never once recieved any help ( air-oxygen) nothing was even on my face - i asked for one and /or a fan and she dismissed it and said no- i didnt need it) i was fine.
Later after birth she left and I went home-ran a fever off and on of 102. degress f. and went to hosp. my milk cont to dry up fast with these high fevers...she told me it was prob because of an inf. and gave me antibiotics as she shoulda the day i left the hosp. because i had a DRY Birth- later i found all of these facts out- with a GREAT dr. and he was very upset that she made sooo many simple - but big mistakes. I was tremendously upset as I did everything in my power to continue breastfeeding as it was VERY important to me. It dried up because of my many fevers.
Important thing- my baby is a healty lil one-shes 2 now and it still bothers me that i put my trust in a dr.with a bad attitude and HORRIBLE bedside manners.
I ran across this today looking up the number to our pediatrician for my new phone and decided to write up some of my facts and hope no other woman goes through half of what i did in such a memoriable time of their lives. I shoulda tried a lawsuit or went public at the time- but all I wanted was to be with my baby and family - not in a court room wasting more of my life with a woman like that.
GOD BLESS- J
