Spent hours for an exam and to order glasses only to find out when I went to pick them up that they were not ordered, Office staff were rude and insisted the order "was in transit" but insurance company verified no order had been placed. Manager, Lena, hid in the back of the building rather than admit she lied about the mistake. They refused to refund the money!! Eyes are too important to deal with people of this caliber and lack of ethics. I could have dealt with the truth but to lie to my face and act rude and unprofessional was too much. I also believe they price gouge the insurance company, $127 for an eye exam??? This was a nightmare experience and I would never ever go to this company again
This is the second and last time that I have visited Eyeland Vision. The first time I was told that my glasses would take 2 weeks to arrive. 2 weeks later I phoned and they werent there, I was given some excuse and was told that it would be another 5 business days before they would be ready. Turned out to be almost 2 more weeks. I had problems with the frames from day one, eventually having to buy another pair of frames at my expense. 2 weeks ago I went for my annual exam. The Dr was nice enough, but the staff are pathetic, unprofessional and could care less. I was there for over 2 hours, and it wasn't that busy. The girl kept getting things wrong and I had to constantly keep correcting her, making sure she had everything on file that needed to be.As she went to ring up my bill I double checked that she had everything, turns out she didn't have the transition prescription added and had to redo the bill, as I was leaving she shouted, oh I forget to measure your face, so I had to return. It's now 2 weeks and no sign of glasses so I decided to phone and check up. Spoke to the same girl and she said that 'the people' at the lab forgot to put the transition prescription in so they're having to be re-done. Asked her how long it would be and she said roughly 5 business days, same excuse I was given last year and it turned out to be 2 weeks. Not one apology from her, and I'm pretty sure that if I hadn't called her, they would not have notified me of the 'delay'. I will NEVER go back to this place again. The staff definitely needs a course in how to interact with the public. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!

I have been seeing Dr. Noska for as long as she has been at Eyeland in Katy. She has always been friendly, professional, and caring. She has treated me for eye conditions like infections and scratches as well as routine exams. Both of my sons go there as well and never complain.
The wait at Eyeland can sometimes be a little long and they have some staff turnover. But Dr. Noska is always consistent.
I have been going to Dr. Noska 3 years now. She is fantastic. She explains what is going on and why something should be done. I had contacts for over 28 years. Her checks on my eyes and suggestions has helped my eyes greatly. I were 2 week through away contacts now and put drops in my eyes in the morning and at night. These suggestions have slowed down the dry eye and I can't tell again that I have contacts in. Just wonderful and recommend her.
Dr.Noska is FANTASTIC
Office Manager is HORRIBLE & RUDE!!!!
The other Hispanic girls are WONDERFUL. You ask them a question and they don't get attitudes. You ask the OMgr a question and she gives you a dirty look and a dirty attitude.

I only have one or two things to say about this topic. Dr. Noska is a FANTASTIC doctor. She takes her time and is VERY thorough which is more than I can say for some eye doctors I have seen before. It is nice to finally find a Dr. who puts your needs primary and does not try to only see you as a dollar sign. She found and prescribed glasses for my child for a problem that we never knew existed. I just wanted to take time out and say a big THANK YOU because people are so quick to complain and not to thank. So thanks.
I received the best eye exam from Dr. Noska. She was very professional and really took a lot of time with me to explain everything she was doing. I feel I got a great exam and will continue to see her in the future. I don't see how anyone could say that she was not completely professional and caring, because that is the exact opposite of what I experienced.
It has been an hour and a half since I got home and I'm still angry. This was my first time ever going to the eye doctor (which I mentioned several times), yet I was treated like a complete idiot. When I asked for clarification in layman's terms, Dr. Noska simply repeated what she had previously said in an irritated tone. Later, she said she needed to dilate my eyes and I would have blurry vision for a few hours. When I told her I couldn't because I needed to drive myself home, she went on and on about how I could have a tear in my retina or my nerve could be separating from my eye ball. This really ticked me off because I felt like she was trying to use scare tactics when I simply was not going to be able to drive home - it's not like I was telling her that I was Wonder Woman and therefore I would never need to have my eyes dilated! I HATE BEING TREATED LIKE AN IDIOT!!! I would love to have her answer questions about anthropology (in which I have my masters degree) and see how well she can answer questions outside of her field!
I would like to express my deepest gratitude toward Dr. Noska.I had a unexpected break in my busy schedule and never dreamed that Dr. Noska would so unselfishly see me on such short notice. the visit was the most comprehensive and professional experience that i have ever had. even as a walk in I was treated like an old friend. It is with extreme confidence that I could recommend her services to anyone seeking quality eye care. It is a sad fact of our busy culture that typically, the only time that people take the time to write a review of service is when they want to complain. I'm sure these are the same people that never accept responsibility for their own situations, I have found that, in general people find it easier to to blame someone, than to put forth the required effort to resolve a situation. I myself have a service orientated business and I receive far too few positive letters to reinforce my love for people. well, today I am taking time out to say thank you, Dr. Noska. I look forward to my next visit. I have no doubts that the service will be excellent.
I took my 17 year old daughter to Eyeland Vision to get contacts and she saw Dr. Noska. Dr Noska had a cold, uncaring attitude right from the start. During the exam my daughter could not do the glaucoma test where the doctor has to get really close to the eye with the machinery, she kept closing her eyes. The doctor tried several times to do it and although my daughter tried really hard, she couldn't keep her eye open. Well the whole time this is happening instead of being patient with her, Dr. Noska was sighing loudly and in a mean tone telling her that she had to keep her eye open. My daughter was in tears after the exam. Dr. Noska could have had more patience with her, but she just acted like it was such an inconvience and she didn't have time for that. The doctor then gave her trial contacts that were different from the ones she had previously and she wore them for a couple of weeks. Her follow up visit was supposed to be a week later, but she got the flu so we had to reschedule. When we did go in for the follow up Dr. Noska was very rude and brought up the fact that she should have been there to see her a week before. She then went on to write her prescription for her contacts with the same strength in both eyes, when her right eye is much worse than her left. She couldn't see well with her contacts at all. We ended up going to another doctor to get more contacts. We didn't go back to Eyeland Vision because we did not want to be subjected to Dr. Noska's cold, rude, uncaring attitude. We would never go back there nor would we recommend her to anyone. We have had friends ask about where we go to get our glasses and contacts and we tell them not to go to Eyeland Vision.

I am an older patient who went to Eyeland Vision to be fitted for contact lenses for the first time. On my first visit after my initial exam, I was not able to insert and remove both contacts, so I schedule another teaching appt. I have nothing but good things to say about the young girls who help you learn and give you tips and suggestions as you learn to put your contacts in. Although determined, it unfortunately took one more visit for me to successfully insert and remove the contacts before taking them home. After 2 weeks of wearing trials, I returned to have a check to see if my vision was reasonably corrected, and Dr Noska decided that another type of contact was warranted. I wore the 2nd type home and returned 2 weeks later as instructed for a repeat check before ordering. Each time I saw Dr Noska, her tone and snide remarks insinuated she really didn't think I would be able to accomplish wearing the contacts due to it taking me 3 visits to insert them. Again, the girls assisting me there were very nice and patient. During our final visit, the Dr stated that this had been quite a long process since it had been 6 weeks since we had begun. It had however spanned thru the last 3 major holidays of the year. I was very excited about ordering my new contacts, and was told that they would arrive in about a week. One week later, I received a call from the Dr office hoping that they were calling to let me know my contacts had arrived, but was furious to find they were just now ordering my contacts and there was an error with the prescription. The prescription the Dr had written wasn't even correct for the brand I had been trying. Apparently the strength I had been prescribed and gotten used to had been discontinued by the company and is no longer being made. So I have to go back in to the office and pick up 2 more strengths of contacts one stronger and one weaker to determine which I want to order. Meanwhile, I have spoken to the company online, and they cannot believe that my Dr has prescribed this for me since they have been discontinued for almost a year. When I went back in to the office to let them know, what I wanted to order, the Dr was up front and made some lame excuse about them being discontinued recently having no idea that I actually knew the truth--that she had screwed up--and she wasn't on top of the product she carries. I finally received my contacts another week later, after my trials had expired and only because I decided to go to the office to check if they were in. They were, but no one had called me to let me know. I am so glad to have my contacts and my prescription in hand, but I will not go back there again due to the flippant attitude of the doctor. She needs to be more caring and sympathetic towards her patients and she could learn alot from her younger staff about patience and understanding. If you want a Dr who acts like they care about you, don't go here.
I went to Eyeland in Katy, Texas thinking that they would give me good customer service, BUT NOT. I waited and waiting on my glasses for a month patiently. I never recieved my glasses from Eyeland Vision. I called on several occassions and I got was complaints about my insurance company. They never called me to tell me anything. There was no communication on their part all all! I called them every week for a month, but no glasses. They kept telling me that the lab at my insurance company were the ones with the problem. On the first attempt to contact Eyeland, they told me that the lab broke my frames and will reorder another set. Second attempt they said the lab lost my glasses. Third attempt they said their not in stock. I just gave up after the fourth attempt. Now I am having to find another place to buy my glasses. If you want your glasses in about a week, go somewhere else. I will never take my business to Eyeland AGAIN!!!!!
I had never heard of Eyeland Vision, but I received a promotional mailer offering a great deal on a package for an eye exam and contacts, so I decided to check them out. They are located just off the Katy Freeway in the shopping center near The Avenue, Souper Salad, Sam's Club, and Best Buy.
Initially, I was very impressed with my experience. I scheduled an appointment ahead of time, and even though I went on a Saturday, I didn't have to wait long before I was able to see the doctor. I was extremely pleased with my experience with Dr. Nicole Noska, the optometrist. Over the years, I have had many eye exams with many different doctors, and hers was one of the most thorough I have ever had. I would definitely recommend her.
My frustration came in my experience with ordering my contacts. My prescription had changed, but I was going to be using the same brand/fit of contacts that I had used for years, so the doctor said that there was not a need for a follow-up appointment. I was given a trial pair and was told that my order for new contacts should be there within three to five business days.
I waited about two weeks, which is the point at which my contacts should be changed, and I hadn't heard anything from them. I called to check on the status of my order. Apparently, it had been filed in the wrong place (in an area for patients who needed to come in for a follow-up) and so my order hadn't been placed. They agreed to place my order and again told me that they should be there within three to five business days.
About a week and a half later, I still hadn't heard anything. I was in the area, and so I stopped in to check on the status. It took three employees before they could even locate my file. I was then told that my contacts were on "back order." I asked when I could expect them and they said that the status was unknown at that point. They did give me a new trial pair of contacts when I asked for them.
About a week later, they did call to update me on the status of the contacts. If took about six weeks from the time of my initial appointment to the time when I received my order. My understanding is that the company that supplies their contacts had just merged with another company and that there were some complications surrounding this. I do understand that things like that happen. My frustration came because of the lack of communication from the employees.
I was further disturbed when someone from Eyeland Vision contacted me on my cell phone indicating that he had read a review that I had written on another site regarding my experience. He wanted me to change my review and said that it was taking away business. He repeatedly blamed their contact supplier. While I understood that situation, I told him that there had been multiple incidents where customer service and communication from the employeed could have been better and that was the main source of my frustration. No means of rectifying the situation were offered and I do have concerns that they would go into confidential patient files to look up phone numbers and other information for this purpose.
