Dr. Yang is Associate Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Yang completed his medical school, internship, and residency training at Cornell (NY Presbyterian Hospital). He subsequently completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center where he served as Chief Fellow and a second fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Montefiore Medical Center. He specializes in all aspects of arrhythmia management and treats a wide range of conditions including:
Wolf-Parkinson White Syndrome,
AV Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia,
Sudden Cardiac Death,
Cardiac Device malfunction/infection.
Dr. Yang has expertise in various procedures, including pacemaker implantation, Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator implantation, Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy device implantation, electrophysiology studies, ablation of supraventricular tachycardias, and ablation of ventricular tachycardias. He is also knowledgeable and experienced in complex device management and lead extractions.
Dr. Yang has published numerous articles in leading journals and presented his research at professional societies. He is a member of several professional organizations and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He is also a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist as designated by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners.
Dr.Yang also has the honor of being the official cardiologist for the NBA Brooklyn Nets.
