This was a terrible experience. I came in as a new patient for an annual exam. I even checked with the front desk girl and had her call my insurance to make sure this was covered fully ( annual exams are free). She called and told me it was all good. After being interviewed in a condescending manner from her assistant, I explained I get headaches and suffer from stress. I was hospitalized from this and I take precautions to keep my stress level down. When I came in, the Doctor, Frances Mally had bad bedside manner to say the least, she treated me like I was a drug addict when I ask her to refill my prescription of anxiety medication. My mother had just passed, and we had moved to a new state and I was still looking for work at the time, so a lot of stress there... Instead of listening to what was happening in my life, she spent a minute with me, and told me I needed to see a shrink....

Talk about an un-healing experience! It is anxiety meds, not painkillers, for a issue I was hospitalized for. Awful. Who treats their patients like this? I teach yoga professionally, and could never imagine treating my students, who come to me to heal themselves, in this manner. When I went to finalize my check out, they repeated several times loudly in front of the waiting room and other staff to write me a referral for a psychiatrist. Wow. God forbid I had come in for herpes, or some other embarrassing medical issue for them to broadcast to the whole room.

But wait, it gets better.... It was supposed to be covered by my insurance. They billed it as a general office visit, instead of my annual exam. When I called their billing department to have this remedied, the woman on the other end of the phone just kept repeating the same thing to me, about how the doctor had written it up as an office visit, and there was nothing they could do. I have excellent comprehension, and I told her to stop repeating herself, that it wasn't resolving anything....They tried to convince me I was a walk-in, and they don't do physicals for walk-ins, but I had made the appointment 3 weeks out, I told her to check again.... they had even called me to remind me of the appmt the day before I came in. She seemed to then "find" me, and repeated how there was nothing she could do because the doctor had written me up that way. So not only was it a terrible experience, but because they billed me incorrectly, it is now costing me $100 on top of that...

I did go to a psychiatrist, btw, and they said I suffer from stress, and should continue to do yoga, eat healthy, avoid stressful situations (like dealing with this doctor), and take anxiety medications as needed. Which I already knew, and did not need this terrible, stressful and demeaning experience with Dr. Frances Mally to realize this. If you are coming for healing, avoid this Doctor!! But if you like to be upset, maybe you can go there and have an experience like I did.
