Dr. Fusco is not nearly as easy to talk to and informative as the PA he lost, Christine. The office staff are very hard to deal with -- talk down to the patients and act like we are a real nuisance. I quit going there because of the office staff. I don't feel safe depending on the new nurse practitioner for my health care.

I cannot believe your billing supervisor, Diane Reeves (? not sure if that is her last name because her signature is illegible and the letter she sent me did not have her name typed below it like a professional letter ought to) sent me a letter written in all capital letters about how she was "TERMINATING YOUR PROFESSIONAL CARE.I SUGGEST YOU PLACE YOURSELF UNDER THE CARE OF ANOTHER PHYSICIAN AT THIS TIME. ALL EXISTING APPOINTMENTS WILL BE CANCELLED; WE WILL, HOWEVER CONTINUE TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY CARE FOR A PERIOD OF THIRTY (30) DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THIS LETTER. THEREFORE, IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU SEEK REPLACEMENT MEDICAL CARE IMMEDIATELY.
THIS COVERS ALL PHYSICIANS AND ALL LOCATIONS OF FAMILY CARE SPECIALISTS, INC."
At first I did not understand why my care would be "terminated" as I am a patient, not a subordinate, and furthermore was not informed of the reasoning behind my termination. Upon further investigation, I discovered I had an outstanding balance of $74.00 that went unnoticed for three months that I did not receive any bills or notices on, even though I confirm my contact information EVERY time I come in for an appointment.
Had I been contacted, I would have taken care of it immediately; I understand this is a business.
Thank you, FCS for the rude treatment from your staff (excluding Dr. Fusco, Gwen [who is no longer there], Christine [who is no longer there and is missed terribly for her thorough care and extensive knowledge of her field and compassion for her patients] as well as the inconvenience of being cared for by a provider other than the NP who I was scheduled with because she misses more days at work than any other health care provider I have ever dealt with.
No worries, I would rather take my emergent health problems that arise in the future to an emergency room; at least there the staff is not rude.

I went to see the new NP because Christine was gone. First, I am simply appalled at what your practice did to her. She was wonderful. She helped my Mother and I with our illnesses and we trusted her like no other. She did NOTHING wrong. Secondly, my appointment with the new NP went horrible. I have never in my whole life been treated so badly and all she could talk about was herself and her credentials. She simply went off and came out of her seat when I mentioned Christine's name. She did not treat me for what I was there for but passed me off to go somewhere else. After all her bragging about what she could do, she ignored me and passed me off, telling me I had to go else where to seek attention. She totally ignored a letter my therapist sent which was why I was there for med followup and Christine always could take care of me but this NP couldn't even look me in the face. Now after all that which left me in shock and crying in my Mom's car when I got outside, this NP had the nerve to charge me for an extended visit when she spent most of MY APPOINTMENT talking about herself and the manager also did nothing about my complaint. You lost 2 patients with that visit and I'm sure now that Christine is practicing again more will flock to her. I can't believe this is the way you want to run your practice.

I went in for these horrible panic attacks and Christine was absolutely amazing. After one visit the panic attacks stopped completely and I was back to enjoying life. They are all professionals and I really appreciate their help. Panic attacks are scary things to have, especially when you're alone, and they basically gave me back control of my life. I am extremely thankful. Thanks Family Care!!

PROS: Great Staff! Extremely helpful and easy to work with!!

We have been going to Family Care for years now! We found a PA that works out of one of their locations that is simply OUT OF THIS WORLD! We just love her polite mannerism and wealth of knowledge she has! I have even taken the kids out of the Pediatrician's office and placed their care with her!

PROS: easy appts to get, correct diagnosis!
