While I think that Dr. Manginello and Dr. Pane are superb at what they do, they have to be responsible for what their billing department does. They need to accept what insurance pays them, not scare people into "payments". Since Valley has a contract with my insurance the "independent" providers must accept payment that is fair and reasonable set forth by insurance as if they "did" have a contract. If they don't want insurance to automatically set the price, enter into a contract. There is no reason that the parents of a NICU baby should have to worry they will be in debt for the rest of their lives or loose their house. I was frightened to see a bill for 900,000 plus dollars for my baby. I was charged 3000.00 for each day a NICU doctor examined my child. That's just the charge for the doctor alone, not including venipuncture, hospital fees, radiologists, etc. When I had an appointment for the first time at this out patient clinic, the receptionist tried to get me to sign documents saying I would pay for everything in full if my insurance doesn't pay them in full. I had already contacted my insurance carrier, Dept of Insurance and Banking and my state representatives, I KNEW BETTER! Educate yourself about doctors, providers and hospitals that try to scam you out of your money.

Dr Manginello and his staff literally saved our daughters life at birth. It is evident that he knows his field well, genuinely cares about what he does, and like a true healer, never lost his interest in learning. His bedside manner is impeccable. Our daughter had significant birth issues that kept her in the NICU for a month. Not only did Dr Manginello diagnose her quickly and correctly, and care for her so very well, he did so with great compassion, in a way that made us very comfortable through a very trying time.

Dr Manginello is a neonatologist, dealing with many premature babies for many years. He used to be with St. Joseph's hospital and now with Valley Hospital for many years with lots of experience behind him.

For NJ, he is a top neonatologist in my opinion. He took care of a premature baby of mine and I also watched him in the ER with an older child that was a preemie a year prior. You can see his wonderful beside manner with these children.

I highly recommend this doctor.
