I have been seeing this physician for the treatment of migraines and headaches for at least 10 years. I now only check in about every 12 months. He has been extremely helpful in reducing the number and severity of migraines and less severe headaches each month. He can be a little prickly, but he always spent a long time meeting with me, answering all my questions and had endless ideas on things to try next to try and relieve my symptoms. It's true, he does not believe in opioid therapy for migraines, but he uses many other meds, and I was on opioids for my back and he did not have a strong opposition to this, he just didn't want to prescribe them himself. I found when you took the time to get to know him, he is a very caring physician who is really invested in whether his patients feel better or not. I beg you to look for another dr who will sit down with you for 45 minutes or better EACH VISIT to find out how you are doing. He is opinionated, however it's okay if you don't agree with him on everything and it was my experience that you could disagree with him and his "ego" could handle that just fine. He appreciates honesty and forthrightness. I have finally moved from a diagnosis of severe migraine to moderate migraine, with his help and support (and my own hard work). I have recently heard that he may have moved his practice. I am very concerned about this, I have no idea where I would go, who I would see, who would take his place.

I accompanied my wife to an appointment and I was shocked by this doctor's conduct, his assumptions, and his general lack of professionalism. He was very rude to my wife, got every guess wrong and then tried to make her feel bad. I wanted to walk out or punch him.

Dr. Taylor was combative the moment he walked in the room. Having never had an appointment with him before, I was pretty sure his mood wasn't about me, yet he proceeded to take it out on me. He never listened to me, knew nothing about me, but managed to make up reasons to lecture me on what I should be doing (and it so happens, I am doing, but he wouldn't listen to anyone but himself). A miserable and unhelpful experience.

Dr. Taylor encourages drug-free therapy to avoid migraine. if all you want is pain meds, don't go here. If making healthy life changes and working to make yourself healthy is what you are looking for, then he is the perfect match for you. He is a specialist in migraine and does research and studies to avoid the use of narcotics to control/relieve migraine.
