At first I was impressed with Dr. Bogie. She assured me she would work with me to get the correction in the lenses just right because I am far-sighted in one eye but near-sighted in the other and I had a lazy eye as a child. But, after the exam (and taking my money - I don't have insurance) - neither Dr. Bogie nor her staff were particularly caring or helpful. I was still having trouble reading but the lenses were made according to her prescription and that's all she cared about when I made a follow up appt.
The eye glasses are basically worthless - and I got 2 pair - one for close reading and one for reading across a room -- like menu signs at Burger King.
The cheap eye glasses I buy at any drug store work better than her prescriptions.
One last thing -- eye doctors & other doctors & dentists who don't have emergencies (like having to deliver babies) know approximately how long each exam will take, yet they leave you sitting in the waiting room for 45 minutes or an hour or more! Dr. Bogie's office does this. Is her time so much more valuable than mine? NO! If I'm not working, I'm not earning a living so every minute I sit and wait, I'm losing money and having to pay Dr. Bogie on top of that.
It's disrespectful and selfish for doctors to make patients wait and wait. I don't make my clients wait and I don't expect my doctor to make me wait.
