Dr Bueso is a good doctor IF you can read between the lines ( if you have a great knowledge of medicine yourself). He is in a hurry-acts like he needs to catch a train all the time- and you practically have to ROPE him into interaction with you. He is quite intelligent, and follows logical steps to helping patients. Friendly, BUT, he needs to communicate with his patients more. He also needs to listen more to symptoms. He needs to BE CAREFUL with test orders ( he forgets and needs to be reminded- not good) ; and may duplicate tests.
His staff is almost like the SOUP NAZI in Seinfeld. They will not even let you have important procedures done in office unless they are 300% certain that you will pay or insurance will pay. They are rude, no other way to put it.
This is NOT the way to treat patients. They presume patients are their customers ONLY.
It is a shame that a good doctor like Bueso is saddled with a staff that neither supports or manages his relationships with patients; if he is not willing or able to do so. I would recommend Bueso based on his skill, if you want to put of with the BS of his greedy, arrogant, and rude staff (, and their inherent incompetence). If not, look at Dr. Steven Petek. They seem to have it going on better in many areas of communication and patient relations and management. Long-short, good doctor, he knows his stuff but does not COMMUNICATE it to patient, a tad arrogant, nice, will diagnose properly, BUT has poor memory , needs to be questioned on script orders and WHY meds are given. AND, REMINDED of lab tests, etc. Worth the trip- just steel yourself from his staff, take a tape recorder to CYA , and make damn sure you know a LOT about medicine and you may be helped here. Good Luck.

Pros: very good at diagnosis/does NOT communicate with patient

Cons: the staff is ALL ABOUT MONEY HERE

He is very nice and was a comfort when I was going through a scary time. Reasons why I want to change doctors is...
1.long waits. It sucks when you take time off from work and then have to wait.

2. The Doctor charges you for parking in his own LOT. It is only $5, which is cheaper than the med-center, but still it is the principle. I get irritated every time I pay my co-pay and get charged an extra $5 from them.

3. They would not let me bring my son when I went to see the doctor. The appt before my last I saw a 2 year old in the back running around. My son does not walk yet and was strapped in his stroller not making any noise. They said they would just call me with the lab results and reschedule me if I need to come back in. I was not a happy camper and still waiting for the call.

This place is awful. the Dr. does not discuss test results. aside form that however he is passable compared to his staff. Rude, rude, rude. do not wait to refill your prescription if it's important -heaven forbid- as it will take this office DAYS to get the refill to the pharmacy. one would think they would have the patients best interests at heart but if that is what you seek, try somewhere else. The staff is incompetent. I would hate for my family to go to a place like this and be treated this way.

Cons: $5 to park in their lot? I parked on the street.

I have been working with the office for years in an attempt to resolve being charged a Dr.'s visit each time I have lab work done in Bueso's lab. This essentially results in paying twice for seeing the doctor once. Check your bills. Make sure you (and your insurance company-which leads to higher premiums) are not getting overcharged. The technicians at the lab also are the worst I have ever had. Dr. Bueso is a nice man, but with the wait, the extra charges, and the awful experience at the lab, I am not going back. An out of network doctor is cheaper than the double charge.

Okay, I had read all the reviews before going for our visit. This was for my 14 yr. old daughter who has been diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism. I have to say I was dreading it because all the reviews were saying how long the wait was. I have NO patience. We did get called in after about and 1 1/2, but the doctor came in right away. He spent about 20 minutes with us, and I have to say I was very impressed with him and felt good about how proactive he seemed to treat my daughter. My husband was very impressed as well. Later, we had talked to a few of his patients who were sitting in the waiting room and they all said they have been coming to him for years and some said they use him as their primary care physician. They all said it is worth the wait. There is still no excuse for the long wait, but make sure you bring plenty of magazines, books or crocheting to occupy your free time.

Pros: Very Competent and Proactive

Listen to all these reviewers and do not waste your time. You will wait HOURS to see this man. I have given his office multiple chances to improve the time issue and they always have excuses. Seriously, at least a 1 1/2 hour wait just to see him.

Pros: new building

Cons: too many to name

Just like the other reviews. I've been trying to resolve a lab bill that they submitted, for almost 2 years now, and no results yet. They act as though they are doing you a favor. The office is so unorganized it's maddening and frustrating. The wait is soooooooo long that's it's not worth seeing the doctor. If you see them, plan on spending the major part of you day there. We've told dr bueso about the total incompetience and still notghing has been done. We've reccommended other people, and after 1 visit they did not return.

just like the other reviews about dr. bueso's office. my experience was not the best. i too thought the nurse, receptionist and billing personnel were very rude and not helpful. the waiting time in the office was RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!! I didn't like the fact of showing up for my appt. promptly after taking off early from my job and loosing pay, only to be seen 2 hrs. after my scheduled appt. time. once seen by the doctor, he didn't do much for me , when i asked him about my insulin pump and insulin reactions because of pump use. he referred me to the pump educator. could of told me that ove r the phone. i thought he spent very little time with me, and i felt like the appt. was rushed. i stopped going to him as soon as i found another m.d. that is familiar with insulin pump mngmt. he seems like a good doctor, just not attentive enough and combination of this and his rude staff ; it just wasn't worth the visit !!!!!!!!!

First time visit, and will continue until I find another doc to replace him. Looooooong wait, then the staff (who was nice!) moved me to a waiting room, when it was another looooooonger than average wait. I got up and said I had to move to my dentist appointment; Dr. Bueso insisted in me waiting some more.... Then he hardly explained my condition to me, but in a very nice way, of course. He is proper. Later I found out through my neurologist about the depth of my testing, which was very appropriate, but would have never learned about it from Dr. Bueso's mouth... In a nutshell, he is probably to be trusted, but don't expect explanations if you are an educated person who likes to know the whys and what fors. But again, there might be somebody else out there who knows as much or more than he does, who likes to treat you as a thinking, intelligent being as well. I am looking for her/him now.

Ok, so I've been going to Dr. Bueso now for about a year. He is an amazing doctor and has immensly helped me. However, the wait to see him is RIDICULOUS!! I sat in the waiting room just to get into a room for 2 hours. Then once I got into a room, with a very rude nurse, we waited another 30 minutes to see him. Then his consultation only lasted 7 minutes. I was livid. But I must say if you think a good doctor is worth it then he's the man to see. But his wait is ridiculous, and that wasn't the first time I've been through that.

Dr. Bueso has a very nice manner. I went to him for over 5 years for periodic thyroid checks. I didn't think he was very proactive but still seemed competent. One day when I had an emergency where I had an allergic reaction to something, don't know what and my face was swollen up very badly, I tried to get an appointment with Dr. Bueso. They told me to go to the emergency room. Since I had been to an emergency room several years ago with a broken foot, I already knew that without some illness that was life threatening, I would probably be there at least 8 hours or more. I found another Internal Medicine doctor who saw me the next day and gave me the medication I needed.

Dr. Bueso's waiting room is always full, usually a significant wait involved and you have to pay parking by the hour. I'm still trying to find another doctor to replace him but I'm not going back unless I can't find a doctor who is not so busy but who is still nice.

Pros: nice manner, appears competent (don't have anything to gauge by, really)

Cons: too busy, long waiting room wait, doesn't have a backup physician to handle emergencies so referral to emergency room
