I had suffered from Esotropic Strabismus since infancy and was always told by optometrists that there was not much that could be done. I had seen specialists as a young child and they determined surgery/patching/muscle therapy was not nessesary as long as my glasses worked while wearing them. As I grew older the glasses no longer straightened my right eye, so I stopped wearing them and gave up, I always though that being "cross-eyed" was just a fact of life and that I would have to live with it forever. One day in February of this yr(2011) I began to research information on my condition and decided to locate and opthamologist in my area that could evaluate me and give me some options. I was lucky enough to come across the Houston Eye Assoc. and found Doctor Gonzales. He specializes in strabismus and is board certified. So I made and appointment and the rest is history. I had surgery on Aug 3rd, 2011, and it was the best decision of my life. Surgery was smooth, short recovery time and the results are picture perfect. My eye is straight and I feel so extremely blessed to have found Doctor Gonzales and would recommend him to everyone. His office staff are polite and excellent at their job. Doctor Gonzales is extremely personable and you get the feeling he cares and genuinely wants to help. He is thorough and just an all around excellent surgeon. If I had it to do all over again, I would do it in a heartbeat. Thanks so much to Doctor Gonzales and all of his staff at the Memorial and Gramercy Offices.

I had suffered with headaches and a lazy eye for 15 years, which was caused by a childhood injury. Over the years the eye became harder to control and finally justed wander, which made me look very cock eyed. I had seen several doctors and no one wanted to help me due to the scar tissue, caracts, until I was referred to Dr. Gonzalez. He was honest, through and very caring. On the day of my surgery he went out and talked at length with my family. These days doctors do not take time for their patients, Dr. Gonzlez has a vey old-school approach and a sincere interest in the people he is caring for. Me meeting him has changed my life and my eye is very straight now.
