I went to see Dr. S. because of polyps in my nose. When I first went to him years several years ago, one of member of the office staff was quite rude. That member is no longer there. The current staff (as of mid-2011) is quite pleasant. That's an improvement.

The biggest fault of this doctor and office is the waiting time. I have never had to wait less than one hour. I usually wait well over an hour and sometimes even two hours. This is excused by saying that the doctor spends as much time as is needed with each patient. However, if the doctor so consistently runs late, then they should take that into effect when scheduling.

As for Dr. S. himself, I have nothing but good things to say based on my experience. I imagine some people might be turned off by his long hair, kind of funky air, and obvious affection for the Beatles. The office decor reflects his personality, although the plethora of clocks has to bespeak some subconscious guilt.

With me, Dr. S. did spend as much time as was required. He explain my condition very thoroughly and answered all my questions. He was very candid in outlining my chances of improvement, neither overly optimistic or pessimistic. I have come to trust his judgment. Moreover, I think he is a very kind and decent person.

So, if you are willing to spend a lot of time waiting, you will see an excellent doctor when he finally walks in the room.
