I was in LA suffering the worst tear-inducing, table pounding, put-me-out-of-my-misery lower-back pain. I called Dr. Lucas??s (I??d seen her before a couple of years ago for similar problem) to BEG for an appointment. She was booked, so......

The sweetheart stayed late to fit me in! Who does that anymore? People who actually care you??re in pain ?? that??s who.

She didn??t hurry the appt., even after she had a packed day. I got the full five-star Dr Lucas treatment: 1) warm, relax & stretch muscles, 2) reduce inflammation, 3) put your vertebrae back where they are supposed to be, and 4) a plan to avoid back problems in the first place. She does this with soothing, modern combination of East (massage, acupuncture) meets West (electrical currents, exercise and nutrition) techniques ?? approaching pain management from all angles.

Pain gone (ps. Even after I drove 6 hours back to SF).

I was referred to Dr Lucas by a friend who has been seeing her for many years. I was suffering from shoulder pain and saw an orthopod who suggested a series of steroid injections. I was skeptical of alternative medicine and had never seen a chiropractor or an acupuncturist before. I was in pain and unable to exercise the way I like. I received a combination of acupuncture and chiropractic manipulation and physical therapy. Dr Lucas suggested exercises specific to my shoulder issue. She reviewed and explained the anatomy to me. She was gentle and patient. I was so pleasantly surprised by the rapidity of the success that I had. My issue was treated in 3 visits. I felt great until I injured my other shoulder and returned to see her. She treated my other shoulder just as well. I have since referred a number of other people to the doctor and they have also been pleased. You can't go wrong seeing Dr Lucas.

Seeing Dr. Lucas was a very disappointing experience. I think she takes too many patients and cannot professionally and otherwise take appropriate care of her patients. She seems to be too busy and a bit spaced out. I also find her and her receptionist to be quite rude, unprofessional and arrogant.
I was referred to Dr. Victoria Lucas by a lawyer who handles my personal injury case, and who has said nice things about Dr. Lucas, but when I mentioned my lawyer's name on my first visit, Dr. Lucas said that this name doesn't ring a bell, because she deals with too many lawyers. So, I decided to call the office first trying to make an appointment, but when no one answered the line, I just walked in there. The receptionist didn't ask any questions nor gave me a paper to fill out, just told me to wait 15 min and Dr. Lucas will be able to see me. After patiently waiting there for about 50 min, Dr. Lucas called me in and kind of yelled at me first for not making an appointment and for just walking in like that. When I tried to explain that I did try calling, but no one answered and that I needed some help in consulting or just explaining how this whole personal injury care works, she said that I sounded like an advertiser and that my lawyer should have explained to me everything. Anyways, that day I have scheduled an appointment and came to see her a coupe of days later. Needless to say, I had to wait there for another 45-50 min before Dr. Lucas called me; my appointment was at 2 pm and I was called at 3 pm. To be more accurate, her massage therapist called me instead of Dr. Lucas, gave me a 15 min massage after which Dr. Victoria Lucas opened the door and said that I was done. When I asked her about other procedures she said that she didn't have the time to do them for me. The entire time she didn't even spend 5-10 min of her time with me, explaining about the procedures she may or will perform or giving me a proper consultation, she just sarcastically reminded me again that I just walked in there the first time instead of calling and making an appointment ... Daaa-aaah...(she sure had the time to be personable in a wrong way). I've waisted there 2-3 hrs of my time that was taken away from work and family to get a rude attitude instead of caring, gentle nature that real genuine doctors should possess. The parking there is not easy to find, and if you park for an hour at the meter, there's a chance you will get a ticket, even if you have an appointment with her, you will still wait for almost an hour to be called. Also, there is always a bunch of people in this tiny office waiting for their turn and it gets to a point when there are no more seats left. I just don't get it why she takes sooo many patients if she cannot properly care for them? Greed? Maybe. Or maybe she treats beautiful well dressed women worse than she would treat a man.
I walked away from that office very very disappointed and changed Dr. Lucas for a more considerate, gentle and caring doctor.
