Dr. Graham might be an excellent dentist, but my grandfather never got to see her because of the way we (my father, grandfather, and I) were treated at the receptionist desk. I believe that the staff of an entire office needs to exhibit a professional and friendly manner to all clients. Unfortunately, that is not how we were greeted. This particular receptionist may have had a bad start to her day--but treating us the way she did was unacceptable. We were greeted with a rude, loud voice. We know that most dental offices don't accept Medicare or Medicaid, but we brought the cards out just to try--not a good idea. The receptionist immediately told us those were not accepted here and further explained to us the finances in a tone that was certainly insinuating we could not afford it--which we CAN. Apparently signing and dating multiple pages of paperwork is difficult since she began talking to us as if we did not understand what she was asking. I'm sorry, but if people walk in speaking perfect English do you not also assume they can understand your English, too? We could all hear and understand the receptionist just fine--she was so loud and abrupt that it was clear to us to walk out.

Again, I'm sure that Dr. Graham is excellent--but as for the front desk I'm not so sure. I want to feel welcome wherever I go.
