Do not go to this doctor unless you have good insurance. If you are cash pay there is no consideration of the difficulty of getting blood work done. In July of last year I went to get a renewal on my thyroid medicine I have been on and have had the same dose for the last 5 years. He said I had to have blood work done and when I asked how much it would be I was told $10. I was surprised at the price, but thought he must have some deal. No, the $10 was just an extra charge for taking the blood and then I received a surprise $90 bill from Lab for the work. This is not a lot for some, but for me it was just another bill I couldn't pay. I was only given a prescription for 3 months and have been forced to have it reapproved every 3 months. There was no warning this time the refill would be refused and I did not know it would be till days after waiting for it to be refilled and I was all ready out of the medication. When I called the office to check on it, the receiptionist was very brusque when I asked if the doctor couldn't just approve one more month so I had time to get the blood work done and arrange an appointment. I was informed that once the doctor refused a refill he would not reconsider. I asked if she could please see, as I didn't have the $150 it would cost this week and I was assured she would check and then call back. Well, surprise, surprise the prescription was not approved and No Call back. This is medication that is required on a daily basis for the rest of my life. Obviously, this was not a decision based on my health. Being without the medicine is much worse than his "risking" my having the wrong dose. It was based on money and money alone. I will never return to this doctor and will definitely warn everyone to not bother unless you have insurance or lots of money for the cash pay.

Dr. Castillo has taken great care of both me and my husband. His staff is helpful - they've called my insurance to work out prescription issues. We've gone to him mostly for health maintenance.

Many neighbors in Fall Creek have taken their whole families to him - I've never heard anyone say anything bad about him or his service.
