Dr. Blackburn is ok. Customer service is poor though.
I went there on a thursday afternoon to specifically renew a prescription. I had to call again on Friday twice before I sopke with anyone, then they told me I had to drive there to pick it up and at that point they were closing in 50 minutes and I live an hour and a half away... Thanks for nothing!!!

I've been very happy with Dr. Blackburn after moving to this area almost three years ago. I had been to the same doctor for over 15 years where I lived previously and wondered if I would be able to find someone I liked as much again. He is very thorough and even though I may have to wait a bit, I haven't found the wait to be excessive. Everyone has always been very nice and helpful.

I have never been able to get a sick appt. with this practice when I need it. I am not sick very often, but you would think that they would be able to accommodate. The first time I had a really bad rash and they said I would have to wait three days! This time, I called first thing and they have nothing until afternoon. Guess I will be heading to Patient First once again!

I have been a patient for a number of years and have always found the docs top notch. In regard to another reviewer, they never used interns as a cheaper way to provide care, that was part of their mission to train young MDs. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

The office is very helpful, the ladies on the phone are helpful with trying to get someone to the phone and answer to any question that they are able to answer. There is a lady that does callbacks for the doctors about reminders of appointments her name is Kathy and she is very helpful. Dr. Walker, Dr. Mike and Mark Petrizze are great doctor. I think that it does need to be a little more private at the front but other then that the office in my book is very helpful and great.

Kim Walker and Lee Blackburn are top-notch docs, but the nurses have serious attitude problems. The gals in the office are quite mediocre in their interactions with patients as well.

I wish there could be a more 'private' check in area. Every time I have been they make you announce why you are visiting and anyone in the waiting room can hear what your response is. Fortunately for me I was always able to say something like 'strep throat,' or 'sinus infection.' My poor husband found lumps in his testicles recently and had to go in to Dr. Blackburn. I felt so bad for him having to announce that to the whole waiting room! You would think with all the attention to privacy concerns recently that they would take more care with this.

There is one nurse, I think her name is Jennifer, who does a lot of the 'call backs' for people who are calling in with problems. She is a wonderful and experienced nurse who gives sound advice.

We have been going to this practice for 6 years now and the waits are more often than not quite horrendous. Once you actually see the doc, though, they are first rate.

I have been taking my two kids to Dr. Petrizzi for a year now and I have been very happy! I do not have to wait long to be seen and the nurse and doctor are very helpful, patient, and friendly, especially when my children fuss. I also appreciate the prompt and helpful service from the staff in the front.

I've been going to this practice for about four years now and I love the nurses and doctors. Dr. Walker is my MD and I think very highly of her and her staff. This is a very busy office, but I've never had a problem with long waits or getting in for an appointment. They do a wonderful job, and I believe some patients need to give them a little more credit.

I hate this practice. They are understaffed and the staff they do have is incompetent. It's impossible to get anybody on the phone, I've stopped trying. Whenever I try to get the doctor to refill a prescription I have to leave a message on some anonymous person's voice mail that I never hear from until finally I have to go up there and raise a stink. They too charged me 5.00 a page to fill out a form and then lost the form TWICE. I won't even go into how they screwed up a prescription of mine. Fortunately the pharmacist caught their mistake. Hanover Family is one of those high volume, low service quality practices that could care less about how they treat their customers. They 'compete on' convenience and convenience only. Think Jiffy Lube- poor quality service but quick. I have had about 10 bad experiences with them, but gave them one more try when they changed their service model - supposedly. Previously staffed by interns to keep costs down, they recently switched to PAs in force. Today I went in to get a life insurance patient history form so I can get a life insurance policy and they wanted to charge me $5 per page (even though they have collected thousands of $$$ during my tenure as a patient) and THEN said they would not fill out the form b/c I had not had anything other than "sick visits" recently (doesn't the abscence of visits tell them something? duh...), thus trying to get me to pay them some more $$$ when it is NOT required for the form. Front office receptionists are rude and unhelpful, generally. The office manager, Barbara, is a bureaucratic gatekeeper who kept passing the buck and told me the decision maker (whoever that is- they gave me 2 different answers) would only talk to me by appointment-- after paying my copay, of course. Which is nice... Drs. Petrizzi ought to be more aware of the customer service they provide- but then again, they are not apparently concerned with service quality. And that is the beauty of medical choice- I get to vote with my feet.

I would not suggest this family practice to anyone! It's always overcrowded, understaffed, and on my last visit there, I was informed that my children's medical records had been lost! Not only that, but the staff was rude about it too! I will never go back.
