I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Hastik, whom I have known for ten years. During that time she has twice figured out the right medication for ending my serious depression. I was happily on one medication for several years, and when that

I don't see this doctor except for med management every three months. My experience is that she's sharp and knows her stuff. It's pretty horrifying to see how people go out of their way to damage others without any knowledge of the individual. But that's the internet--. It's easy to do.

Agree with one of the previous posts -- check around about her reputation -- my regular therapist recommended her.

Also, I saw the post about drug company talks. The last time I checked a board certified physician (and even if they are not board certified) can speak about drugs in their field -- you don't need to publish to be an expert. As a matter of first hand experience (I am a PhD in mol bio and work at UCSF) the more research you do, the less you see patients! That's why you pay more to see docs in the private pay sector.

Also, you know -- the more patients you see, the more likely you are going to get dinged -- especially if you are a shrink. That's pretty easy to figure out :)

Dr Hastik is an incredible physician and I feel I can say this since she has been my doctor for a quite a while. She is an excellent listener, and exceptionally knowledgeable about drug treatments. I have never felt pushed to take a particular drug and generally I tend to resist medication anyway.

This is a great doctor. She came highly recommended from a colleague at UCSF. I'll defer my judgment to her peers, and not the Medical Board of CA. As a lawyer, the associated case is a sham and politicized. My daughter has been treated by this physician for the past several years and she is nothing but excellent.

And as far as speaking for drug companies, I personally don't care. That's a First Amendment right I believe!
