Dr. Holly litterally saved my husbands and our best freinds life.
Her in office prelimanry testing sent them both directly to the emergency ward for diabetis and high blood pressure.
I have read the reviews and I can only assume those who Dr. Williams unsatisfactory were low ball / drug seeking clients. Dr. Williams has always gone above and beyond of what one would expect from a caring Doctor. But she will not support drug habits or drug doctor surfers. And yes = she is selective about new clients. Riverview is a rural commuinty of Hillsborough county that has had many inner City and transiant people move. Those who have complained appear to seek doctors who are free and accept Medicare etc., even though they claim to be near death. Yet may not appear to be the type of person one would expect to need these services. I don'y know - but I have seen people with very nice cars and dressed very nicely - who then pull out their FREE MED CARD and scream when they find out Dr Holly doesn't give out narcotics.
Dr. Willaims understands people without insurance and who are actually ill, she understands the ones who who litterally live week to week (and yet do not quilify for ANY assiatance - we EARN and WORK for every dime yet have no Medicare or free-bies) litterally cannot afford $1000. tests and blood work like others who work the PPO network. .. .
Ginger was bad - I will give you that. But Patty is able to see through the true demanding druggies and the really ill.
Dr Willaims talks with her patients and shares real life to dig thru to the real need and "claims" of her pateints needs. Please note that all negative reports are by NEW patients. The lack of possitive reviews are because a great deal of Dr. Williams clients do not have internet.
So, if you are honestly sick, you honestly need to be healed - Dr Holly Williams is where you really want to be.

I cannot believe this dr is still practicing. My husband saw her years ago and had awful care. I called the office once because he was in severe pain and she got on the phone and SCREAMED at me while my mother in law listened. I am a well educated medical administrator and I immediately reported her to the AMA. She is verbally abusive and unstable. I would seek care with anyone else.

After 15 years of going to the same doctor, I became ill and had to file for disability. With no cash or benefits I could not see the doctor for 10 months. After I received my SSD, I called for an appointment when I was really sick only to be called back by her staff to say that she was no longer taking care of cellulitis and testing for diabetes and suggested I see another doctor. I was running a fever and was shocked. Doctor stated I hadn't seen her in 2 years (NOT TRUE) and wouldn't see me not even until I found another doctor. After calling the American Medical Association, I was informed that she had to take care of me until I found another doctor. THANKS DOC. YOU HAVE ALL MY FILES AND LEFT ME WHEN I NEEDED YOU THE MOST. YOU SUCK. Her office staff stated that her children were top priority and she was only seeing cancer patience.

You are never going to find a more caring doctor than Dr. Williams. She is the only person who doesn't treat you like a number. She will take the time to listen to you and is a genuinely caring doctor. Her office staff left little to be desired, but you have to take into consideration that she accepts Medicaid/Medicare and operates on a lower income than most doctors. We need doctors like this. I'd sacrafice luxury to get quality any day!

I believe her name is Patty, the person who answers the phone -- EXTREMELY RUDE, interrupts constantly. I have been a patient of Dr. Williams for many years, I can NEVER get in to see her the day I'm sick. "Patty" rudely tells me she is booked. What is the point of having a primary doctor if you can't get in to see her when you're sick?

The last 2 times I tried to get an appointment when I was sick, I was told I could come in 4 days or more later. What is the point of that?! I asked if the doctor could please call me or call something in since I had just been there recently and I did make an appointment for 4 days later.

Dr. Williams herself called me & told me I can't keep calling, I need to COME IN. I told her I tried to come in but she's booked. I told her I have an appointment to come in 4 days from now.

SHE SCREAMED AT ME ON THE PHONE, "WHY DO YOU KEEP CALLING??? I DON'T GET PAID TO CALL YOU!!!!" I replied "BECAUSE I'M SICK! I TRIED TO GET AN APPOINTMENT!!!" She screamed even louder "GO TO A WALK IN CLINIC!!!!!"

Are you frickin kidding me???? My primary doctor tells me to stop calling her because she doesn't get paid to call me back -- & screams at me to go to a walk in clinic???

WHAT A BUNCH OF B*TCHES!!! I am getting a new doctor PRONTO. I don't need to be treated this way.

P.S. Her office is FILTHY -- and YES she is definitely trailer park trash.

Dr. Williams is the WORST doctor I have ever seen in my entire life --- and I have PLENTY of experience due to congenital issues. I chose her because I have Medicaid and at the time, she was the only doctor I could get in to see.

The first appointment was a weird experience. Her office is located in a strip-mall type of environment. I liken it to something out of "Little House on the Prairie." The waiting room has a TV and a few chairs. It's old and kind of musty. The exam rooms have NO sinks in them. She uses antibacterial hand sanitizer to clean her hands!

Since the first appointment, where she didn't even lay hands on me, she has proven to be unconcerned in my treatment. Every time I see her, she looks like she's scared of me and nervous to be alone with me in the exam room. Then she just writes referrals without discussing any possible problems that might be going on.

I have been chronically ill over the last couple of months due to auto-immune disorders. I called three weeks ago to get an appointment. The RUDE receptionist said the doctor didn't need to see me, she would call something in. Now, understand she makes a POINT of you signing a release explaining she will NOT prescribe pain medicine. Yet, she WILL call in an antibiotic without examining her patients.

Well, she didn't write the order that day, and I called back. The staff said she's very busy and she'd get around to it. A week later, my pharmacy called and said the antibiotic was there.

Today I was very sick, and I needed to see the doctor. I called, and they said she was booked til Friday. Then they told me to go to Walgreens, which doesn't accept my insurance.

I needed a referral to an endocrinologist, and I wanted to schedule an appointment, stupidly thinking my PCP would want to be in on my treatment. I was informed Dr. Williams would fax the referral, but she would NOT see me.

When I am graced with a chance to see the glorious doctor, I have to wait over an hour. She has no nurses, and she calls the patients back herself. She only, of course, sees one at a time, and she doesn't shut the exam room door. She stands at the front desk and does her charts, and then discusses patients' info at the front desk.

I'm so OVER this stupid doctor and her jerky employees. But I can't change to a new doctor until I get a diagnosis for other things I've been waiting months for. When I get the final diagnosis and prognosis, then it's BYE-BYE crazy lady.

I haven't decided whether she's fully aware of how her office staff treats patients on the phone and in person. I would like to believe she's just "pleasantly oblivious".

Yet, just by her actions alone, I would NEVER, EVER recommend ANYBODY go to her.

Dr.Williams is great, spends more time with me than most Drs. ever do. Her staff is terrible, rude, sometimes I will just say forget it to seeing the doctor because of the staff.

Hands down the worst doctor I have ever been to see--ever.

Here's why:
-My appointment was 0930, she saw me at 0945. I was the only patient in the office.
-The office is disgusting (dirty, untidy).
-I spent five minutes telling her why I was there. She wrote prescriptions for each item without hesitation and without any further inquiry.
-She did not examine me except for listening to my heartbeat and taking my blood pressure.
-After my five minute explanation, she spent the next 37 minutes telling me why I should not be a vegetarian and several of HER problems.
-I am trying to quit smoking. I asked for a prescription for Chantix; she wrote one.
--I dropped it off at the drug store. The pharmacist said that she couldn't read it and called her office. It's now been over a week and the pharmacist still has not heard back from her.

These are all facts. I have held back all of the expletives that I would like to use.

Choose her at your own risk.

I was Dr. Williams patient when I was a teen. I was so happy that I found her again. She is great, but her receptionist is awful, uncaring, unprofessional, ignorant, and very rude, so I will not be returning only because of the horrible experience with the receptionist. It breaks my heart that such a wonderful doctor is represented by that receptionist. I agree with lisa m, "Hire some new staff Dr. Williams!"

Dr. Williams is an excellent doctor. If you are looking for a doctor that will take the time to speak with you and really care she is for you. It is really tough these days to find a doctor that will do this.

Dr. Williams is a great doctor, her receptionist however is not at all efficient with record keeping. I was referred last year for lab tests and surgery and the receptionist says she has no record of it. They are my primary doctor and they could not verify that for a referral, holding me up from getting very important tests done. When I told the receptionist that I was in pain and need a referral for some tests that I was already scheduled for and that she should be able to verify that they have been my primary doctor since last year, she told me that she doesn't have time to stay on the phone all day to do a referral and that it takes up to 5 days.
Hire some new staff Dr. Williams!

Dr. Williams was absolutely wonderful to me. She really took the time to get to know me personally and even remembered my husband. I just love how she is always so friendly to me and my family. When I go to see her, I don't feel like I am going to a doctors office, I feel like I am going to chit chat with a friend.
