I have been seeing Dr. Hulsen since 2010 and I would have to say that he really is the best of the best. He is very friendly, professional, and caring. He takes the time to actually listen to your concerns and does all he can to help. However, he unfortunately has some of the rudest and most unprofessional workers on his staff. I realize that's a bold claim but I believe I can back it up. Each time I have called the office regarding a prescription, my call goes straight to voicemail. That's just fine by me as I can understand that they must be rather busy. What I cannot understand is that THEY NEVER CALL YOU BACK. Ever. I've gone days without hearing from them after leaving a voicemail for them to call back. Then I've called the receptionist and asked her to transfer my call (because for some reason this works better than leaving a message) and what do I get in return? An angry worker who acts COMPLETELY put off by the fact that you're asking her to do her job after she's ignored your calls over the course of two weeks. I then try to suck it up and politely explain what I'm calling for and they cut you off after about three words. You get off the phone feeling as though you have accomplished nothing and then they tell you they'll call you right back either that day or the next. Then guess what happens. You guessed it--absolutely NOTHING. I cannot speak for all of the staff members there, but there's at least one in particular who likely shouldn't be working with clients...or human beings for that matter. Additionally, I have heard that there have been many complaints made about the quality of the staff but nothing is done to change their poor work performance. Despite how great I think Dr. Hulsen is (and I really can't stress that enough--he is fantastic!), I do not think I should have to put up with rude and hateful staff members. I think they should keep in mind that the clients who essentially provide them with jobs can easily take them away by transferring to other doctors (with a better staff!!).
